²⁴ So then, ^(A)the law was our ^(B)guardian until Christ came, ^(C)in order that we might be justified by faith.

²⁴ Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from ^(A)this body of death? ²⁵ Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

³ For ^(A)God has done what the law, ^(B)weakened by the flesh, ^(C)could not do. ^(D)By sending his own Son ^(E)in the likeness of sinful flesh and ^(F)for sin,^[a] he condemned sin in the flesh,

⁴ in order that ^(A)the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, ^(B)who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
