Os descendentes de Adão
5 Este é o relato dos descendentes de Adão. Quando Deus criou os seres humanos,[a] formou-os semelhantes a ele. 2 Criou-os homem e mulher;[b] quando foram criados, Deus os abençoou e os chamou de “humanidade”.
3 Aos 130 anos, Adão teve um filho chamado Sete, que era semelhante a ele, à sua imagem. 4 Depois do nascimento de Sete, Adão viveu mais 800 anos e teve outros filhos e filhas. 5 Adão viveu 930 anos e morreu.
6 Aos 105 anos, Sete gerou[c] Enos. 7 Depois do nascimento de[d] Enos, Sete viveu mais 807 anos e teve outros filhos e filhas. 8 Sete viveu 912 anos e morreu.
9 Aos 90 anos, Enos gerou Cainã. 10 Depois do nascimento de Cainã, Enos viveu mais 815 anos e teve outros filhos e filhas. 11 Enos viveu 905 anos e morreu.
12 Aos 70 anos, Cainã gerou Maalaleel. 13 Depois do nascimento de Maalaleel, Cainã viveu mais 840 anos e teve outros filhos e filhas. 14 Cainã viveu 910 anos e morreu.
15 Aos 65 anos, Maalaleel gerou Jarede. 16 Depois do nascimento de Jarede, Maalaleel viveu mais 830 anos e teve outros filhos e filhas. 17 Maalaleel viveu 895 anos e morreu.
18 Aos 162 anos, Jarede gerou Enoque. 19 Depois do nascimento de Enoque, Jarede viveu mais 800 anos e teve outros filhos e filhas. 20 Jarede viveu 962 anos e morreu.
21 Aos 65 anos, Enoque gerou Matusalém. 22 Depois do nascimento de Matusalém, Enoque viveu em comunhão com Deus por mais 300 anos e teve outros filhos e filhas. 23 Enoque viveu 365 anos, 24 andando em comunhão com Deus até que, um dia, desapareceu, porque Deus o levou para junto de si.
25 Aos 187 anos, Matusalém gerou Lameque. 26 Depois do nascimento de Lameque, Matusalém viveu mais 782 anos e teve outros filhos e filhas. 27 Matusalém viveu 969 anos e morreu.
28 Aos 182 anos, Lameque gerou um filho. 29 Chamou-o de Noé,[e] pois disse: “Que ele nos traga alívio de nossas tarefas e do trabalho doloroso de cultivar esta terra que o Senhor amaldiçoou”. 30 Depois do nascimento de Noé, Lameque viveu mais 595 anos e teve outros filhos e filhas. 31 Lameque viveu 777 anos e morreu.
32 Depois que completou 500 anos, Noé gerou três filhos: Sem, Cam e Jafé.

5 Este é o registro da descendência de Adão:
Quando Deus criou o homem, à semelhança de Deus o fez; 2 homem e mulher os criou. Quando foram criados, ele os abençoou e os chamou Homem[a].
3 Aos 130 anos, Adão gerou um filho à sua semelhança, conforme a sua imagem; e deu-lhe o nome de Sete. 4 Depois que gerou Sete, Adão viveu 800 anos e gerou outros filhos e filhas. 5 Viveu ao todo 930 anos e morreu.
6 Aos 105 anos, Sete gerou[b] Enos. 7 Depois que gerou Enos, Sete viveu 807 anos e gerou outros filhos e filhas. 8 Viveu ao todo 912 anos e morreu.
9 Aos 90 anos, Enos gerou Cainã. 10 Depois que gerou Cainã, Enos viveu 815 anos e gerou outros filhos e filhas. 11 Viveu ao todo 905 anos e morreu.
12 Aos 70 anos, Cainã gerou Maalaleel. 13 Depois que gerou Maalaleel, Cainã viveu 840 anos e gerou outros filhos e filhas. 14 Viveu ao todo 910 anos e morreu.
15 Aos 65 anos, Maalaleel gerou Jarede. 16 Depois que gerou Jarede, Maalaleel viveu 830 anos e gerou outros filhos e filhas. 17 Viveu ao todo 895 anos e morreu.
18 Aos 162 anos, Jarede gerou Enoque. 19 Depois que gerou Enoque, Jarede viveu 800 anos e gerou outros filhos e filhas. 20 Viveu ao todo 962 anos e morreu.
21 Aos 65 anos, Enoque gerou Matusalém. 22 Depois que gerou Matusalém, Enoque andou com Deus 300 anos e gerou outros filhos e filhas. 23 Viveu ao todo 365 anos. 24 Enoque andou com Deus; e já não foi encontrado, pois Deus o havia arrebatado.
25 Aos 187 anos, Matusalém gerou Lameque. 26 Depois que gerou Lameque, Matusalém viveu 782 anos e gerou outros filhos e filhas. 27 Viveu ao todo 969 anos e morreu.
28 Aos 182 anos, Lameque gerou um filho. 29 Deu-lhe o nome de Noé e disse: “Ele nos aliviará do nosso trabalho e do sofrimento de nossas mãos, causados pela terra que o Senhor amaldiçoou”. 30 Depois que Noé nasceu, Lameque viveu 595 anos e gerou outros filhos e filhas. 31 Viveu ao todo 777 anos e morreu.
32 Aos 500 anos, Noé tinha gerado Sem, Cam e Jafé.

Adam's Descendants to Noah
5 This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, (A)he made him in the likeness of God. 2 Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man[a] when they were created. 3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and (B)named him Seth. 4 (C)The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were 800 years; and he had other sons and daughters. 5 Thus all the days that Adam lived were 930 years, (D)and he died.
6 When Seth had lived 105 years, (E)he fathered Enosh. 7 Seth lived after he fathered Enosh 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8 Thus all the days of Seth were 912 years, and he died.
9 When Enosh had lived 90 years, he fathered Kenan. 10 Enosh lived after he fathered Kenan 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11 Thus all the days of Enosh were 905 years, and he died.
12 When Kenan had lived 70 years, he fathered Mahalalel. 13 Kenan lived after he fathered Mahalalel 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14 Thus all the days of Kenan were 910 years, and he died.
15 When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he fathered Jared. 16 Mahalalel lived after he fathered Jared 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17 Thus all the days of Mahalalel were 895 years, and he died.
18 When Jared had lived 162 years, he fathered (F)Enoch. 19 Jared lived after he fathered Enoch 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20 Thus all the days of Jared were 962 years, and he died.
21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he fathered Methuselah. 22 Enoch (G)walked with God[b] after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Thus all the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24 Enoch (H)walked with God, and he was not,[c] (I)for God took him.
25 When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he fathered Lamech. 26 Methuselah lived after he fathered Lamech 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27 Thus all the days of Methuselah were 969 years, and he died.
28 When Lamech had lived 182 years, he fathered a son 29 and called his name Noah, saying, “Out of the ground (J)that the Lord has cursed, this one shall bring us relief[d] from our work and from the painful toil of our hands.” 30 Lamech lived after he fathered Noah 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31 Thus all the days of Lamech were 777 years, and he died.
32 After Noah was 500 years old, Noah fathered (K)Shem, Ham, and (L)Japheth.
