54 y, tal como José lo había anunciado, comenzaron los siete años de hambre, la cual se extendió por todos los países. Pero a lo largo y a lo ancho del territorio de Egipto había alimento. 55 Cuando también en Egipto comenzó a sentirse el hambre, el pueblo clamó al faraón pidiéndole comida. Entonces el faraón dijo a todo el pueblo de Egipto: «Vayan a ver a José y hagan lo que él diga».
56 Cuando ya el hambre se había extendido por todo el territorio y había arreciado, José abrió los graneros para vender alimento a los egipcios.

54 and the seven years of famine(A) began,(B) just as Joseph had said. There was famine in all the other lands, but in the whole land of Egypt there was food. 55 When all Egypt began to feel the famine,(C) the people cried to Pharaoh for food. Then Pharaoh told all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph and do what he tells you.”(D)
56 When the famine had spread over the whole country, Joseph opened all the storehouses and sold grain to the Egyptians,(E) for the famine(F) was severe throughout Egypt.(G)

55 And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do.
56 And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.
