5 Isaac, pues, despidió a Jacob, y este se fue a Parán Aram, a casa de Labán, hijo del arameo Betuel y hermano de Rebeca, la madre de Jacob y Esaú.

6 Esaú supo que Isaac había bendecido a Jacob y que lo había enviado a Padán Aram para casarse allá. También se enteró de que, al bendecirlo, le dio la orden de no casarse con ninguna cananea, 7 y de que Jacob había partido hacia Padán Aram en obediencia a su padre y a su madre.

5 Then Isaac sent Jacob on his way,(A) and he went to Paddan Aram,(B) to Laban son of Bethuel the Aramean,(C) the brother of Rebekah,(D) who was the mother of Jacob and Esau.
6 Now Esau learned that Isaac had blessed Jacob and had sent him to Paddan Aram to take a wife from there, and that when he blessed him he commanded him, “Do not marry a Canaanite woman,”(E) 7 and that Jacob had obeyed his father and mother and had gone to Paddan Aram.

6 Now Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Paddan-aram to take to himself a wife from there, and that when he blessed him he commanded him, saying, “(B)You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan,” 7 and that Jacob had obeyed his father and his mother and had gone to Paddan-aram.
