5 Abrán llevó consigo a Saray, su mujer, y a su sobrino Lot, junto con todos los bienes que poseían y con todos los esclavos que habían adquirido en Jarán, y se encaminaron hacia la tierra de Canaán.
Cuando llegaron, 6 Abrán atravesó toda la región hasta Siquén, llegando hasta la encina de Moré. (Por aquel entonces los cananeos habitaban en el país).
7 El Señor se apareció a Abrán y le dijo:
— Yo daré esta tierra a tu descendencia.
Entonces Abrán erigió allí un altar al Señor, porque se le había aparecido.

5 Tomó, pues, Abram a Sarai su mujer, y a Lot hijo de su hermano, y todos sus bienes que habían ganado y las personas que habían adquirido en Harán, y salieron para ir a tierra de Canaán; y a tierra de Canaán llegaron.
6 Y pasó Abram por aquella tierra hasta el lugar de Siquem, hasta el encino de More; y el cananeo estaba entonces en la tierra. 7 Y apareció Jehová a Abram, y le dijo: A tu descendencia daré esta tierra.(A) Y edificó allí un altar a Jehová, quien le había aparecido.

5 He took his wife Sarai,(A) his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated(B) and the people(C) they had acquired in Harran, and they set out for the land of Canaan,(D) and they arrived there.
6 Abram traveled through the land(E) as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh(F) at Shechem.(G) At that time the Canaanites(H) were in the land. 7 The Lord appeared to Abram(I) and said, “To your offspring[a] I will give this land.(J)”(K) So he built an altar there to the Lord,(L) who had appeared to him.

6 And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.
7 And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the Lord, who appeared unto him.
