3 Por lo demás, hermanos, gozaos en el Señor. A mí no me es molesto el escribiros las mismas cosas, y para vosotros es seguro.
2 Guardaos de los perros, guardaos de los malos obreros, guardaos de los mutiladores del cuerpo. 3 Porque nosotros somos la circuncisión, los que en espíritu servimos a Dios y nos gloriamos en Cristo Jesús, no teniendo confianza en la carne. 4 Aunque yo tengo también de qué confiar en la carne. Si alguno piensa que tiene de qué confiar en la carne, yo más: 5 circuncidado al octavo día, del linaje de Israel, de la tribu de Benjamín,(A) hebreo de hebreos; en cuanto a la ley, fariseo;(B) 6 en cuanto a celo, perseguidor de la iglesia;(C) en cuanto a la justicia que es en la ley, irreprensible. 7 Pero cuantas cosas eran para mí ganancia, las he estimado como pérdida por amor de Cristo. 8 Y ciertamente, aun estimo todas las cosas como pérdida por la excelencia del conocimiento de Cristo Jesús, mi Señor, por amor del cual lo he perdido todo, y lo tengo por basura, para ganar a Cristo, 9 y ser hallado en él, no teniendo mi propia justicia, que es por la ley, sino la que es por la fe de Cristo, la justicia que es de Dios por la fe; 10 a fin de conocerle, y el poder de su resurrección, y la participación de sus padecimientos, llegando a ser semejante a él en su muerte, 11 si en alguna manera llegase a la resurrección de entre los muertos.
12 No que lo haya alcanzado ya, ni que ya sea perfecto; sino que prosigo, por ver si logro asir aquello para lo cual fui también asido por Cristo Jesús. 13 Hermanos, yo mismo no pretendo haberlo ya alcanzado; pero una cosa hago: olvidando ciertamente lo que queda atrás, y extendiéndome a lo que está delante, 14 prosigo a la meta, al premio del supremo llamamiento de Dios en Cristo Jesús. 15 Así que, todos los que somos perfectos, esto mismo sintamos; y si otra cosa sentís, esto también os lo revelará Dios. 16 Pero en aquello a que hemos llegado, sigamos una misma regla, sintamos una misma cosa.
17 Hermanos, sed imitadores de mí,(D) y mirad a los que así se conducen según el ejemplo que tenéis en nosotros. 18 Porque por ahí andan muchos, de los cuales os dije muchas veces, y aun ahora lo digo llorando, que son enemigos de la cruz de Cristo; 19 el fin de los cuales será perdición, cuyo dios es el vientre, y cuya gloria es su vergüenza; que solo piensan en lo terrenal. 20 Mas nuestra ciudadanía está en los cielos, de donde también esperamos al Salvador, al Señor Jesucristo; 21 el cual transformará el cuerpo de la humillación nuestra, para que sea semejante al cuerpo de la gloria suya, por el poder con el cual puede también sujetar a sí mismo todas las cosas.

3 În cele din urmă, fraţii mei, bucuraţi-vă în Domnul! Mie nu-mi este greu să vă scriu aceleaşi lucruri, iar vouă vă dau siguranţă.
2 Feriţi-vă de câinii aceia! Feriţi-vă de lucrătorii aceia răi, feriţi-vă de mutilatorii aceia! 3 Noi suntem cei care am primit adevărata circumcizie: cei care ne închinăm prin Duhul lui Dumnezeu, care ne lăudăm în Cristos Isus şi care nu ne punem încrederea în lucruri pământeşti, 4 deşi eu aş avea motive să mă laud cu lucrurile pământeşti. Dacă cineva crede că are motive să se încreadă în lucrurile pământeşti, eu şi mai mult: 5 circumcis în a opta zi, din neamul lui Israel, din seminţia lui Beniamin, evreu din evrei, în ce priveşte Legea – fariseu[a], 6 în ce priveşte râvna – persecutor al bisericii, în ce priveşte dreptatea care se bazează pe Lege – fără vină. 7 Însă toate lucrurile care pentru mine erau un câştig le consider ca o pierdere, de dragul lui Cristos. 8 Mai mult decât atât, le consider pe toate o pierdere faţă de valoarea deosebită a cunoaşterii lui Cristos Isus, Domnul meu, datorită Căruia am suferit pierderea tuturor lucrurilor şi datorită Căruia le consider gunoaie, pentru a-L câştiga pe Cristos 9 şi pentru a fi găsit în El, nu având o dreptate a mea, care vine din Lege, ci una care vine prin credinţa în Cristos: dreptatea care vine de la Dumnezeu prin credinţă. 10 Vreau să-L cunosc pe El şi puterea învierii Lui şi părtăşia suferinţelor Lui şi să devin ca El în moartea Lui, 11 pentru ca astfel să ajung, cumva, la învierea din morţi.
Urmărind premiul
12 Nu că deja am şi obţinut sau, mai bine zis, că am şi fost făcut deja desăvârşit, dar urmăresc să apuc premiul pentru care şi eu am fost apucat de Cristos Isus. 13 Fraţilor, eu însumi nu consider că l-am apucat, însă fac un singur lucru: uitând ce este în urmă şi aruncându-mă înainte, 14 urmăresc ţinta, alergând spre premiul chemării de sus al lui Dumnezeu, în Cristos Isus. 15 Aşadar, toţi cei ce suntem maturi să avem acelaşi gând! Iar dacă gândiţi diferit cu privire la vreun lucru, Dumnezeu vi-l va clarifica. 16 Însă, în lucrurile în care am ajuns de aceeaşi părere, să trăim la fel!
17 Urmaţi exemplul meu, fraţilor, şi uitaţi-vă cu atenţie la cei care trăiesc după exemplul pe care vi l-am dat. 18 Căci v-am spus deseori şi vă mai spun şi acum, plângând, că sunt mulţi care trăiesc ca duşmani ai crucii lui Cristos. 19 Sfârşitul lor va fi distrugerea, dumnezeul lor este pântecele, iar gloria lor stă în ruşinea lor; ei se gândesc la lucruri pământeşti. 20 Dar cetăţenia noastră este în ceruri, de unde Îl şi aşteptăm pe Mântuitorul nostru, Domnul Isus Cristos. 21 El va transforma trupul nostru umil şi-l va face asemenea trupului Său glorios, folosind puterea prin care-Şi poate supune toate lucrurile.

No Confidence in the Flesh
3 Further, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again,(A) and it is a safeguard for you. 2 Watch out for those dogs,(B) those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. 3 For it is we who are the circumcision,(C) we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus,(D) and who put no confidence in the flesh— 4 though I myself have reasons for such confidence.(E)
If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5 circumcised(F) on the eighth day, of the people of Israel,(G) of the tribe of Benjamin,(H) a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee;(I) 6 as for zeal,(J) persecuting the church;(K) as for righteousness based on the law,(L) faultless.
7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss(M) for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing(N) Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ(O) 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law,(P) but that which is through faith in[a] Christ—the righteousness(Q) that comes from God on the basis of faith.(R) 10 I want to know(S) Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings,(T) becoming like him in his death,(U) 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection(V) from the dead.
12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal,(W) but I press on to take hold(X) of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.(Y) 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind(Z) and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on(AA) toward the goal to win the prize(AB) for which God has called(AC) me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Following Paul’s Example
15 All of us, then, who are mature(AD) should take such a view of things.(AE) And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.(AF) 16 Only let us live up to what we have already attained.
17 Join together in following my example,(AG) brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do.(AH) 18 For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears,(AI) many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.(AJ) 19 Their destiny(AK) is destruction, their god is their stomach,(AL) and their glory is in their shame.(AM) Their mind is set on earthly things.(AN) 20 But our citizenship(AO) is in heaven.(AP) And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,(AQ) 21 who, by the power(AR) that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies(AS) so that they will be like his glorious body.(AT)

2 Beware of the dogs; beware of the evil workers; beware of the false circumcision. 3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh; 4 though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If any other man thinks that he has confidence in the flesh, I yet more: 5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; 6 concerning zeal, persecuting the assembly; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.
7 However, I consider those things that were gain to me as a loss for Christ. 8 Yes most certainly, and I count all things to be a loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and count them nothing but refuse, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith, 10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death, 11 if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. 12 Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus.
13 Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, think this way. If in anything you think otherwise, God will also reveal that to you. 16 Nevertheless, to the extent that we have already attained, let’s walk by the same rule. Let’s be of the same mind.
17 Brothers, be imitators together of me, and note those who walk this way, even as you have us for an example. 18 For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, as the enemies of the cross of Christ, 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who think about earthly things. 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.
