16 Aquellos lo hacen por amor, sabiendo que yo he recibido el encargo de defender el mensaje evangélico. 17 Estos otros, en cambio, al anunciar a Cristo se dejan llevar de la ambición y de turbios intereses, pensando que con ello hacen más dura mi prisión. 18 Pero ¡qué importa! Con segundas intenciones o sin ellas, Cristo es anunciado, y eso es lo que me hace y seguirá haciéndome feliz.

16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel.(A) 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition,(B) not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.(C) 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.
Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,
