Întoarcerea lui Saul
9 Dar Saul(A) sufla încă ameninţarea şi uciderea împotriva ucenicilor Domnului. S-a dus la marele preot 2 şi i-a cerut scrisori către sinagogile din Damasc, ca, dacă va găsi pe unii umblând pe Calea credinţei, atât bărbaţi, cât şi femei, să-i aducă legaţi la Ierusalim. 3 Pe drum, când(B) s-a apropiat de Damasc, deodată a strălucit o lumină din cer în jurul lui. 4 El a căzut la pământ şi a auzit un glas, care-i zicea: „Saule, Saule, pentru ce(C) Mă prigoneşti?” 5 „Cine eşti Tu, Doamne?” a răspuns el. Şi Domnul a zis: „Eu sunt Isus, pe care-L prigoneşti. Ţi-ar fi greu(D) să arunci înapoi cu piciorul într-un ţepuş.” 6 Tremurând şi plin de frică, el a zis: „Doamne, ce(E) vrei să fac?” „Scoală-te”, i-a zis Domnul, „intră în cetate şi ţi se va spune ce trebuie să faci”. 7 Oamenii(F) care-l însoţeau, au rămas încremeniţi; auzeau în adevăr glasul, dar nu vedeau pe nimeni. 8 Saul s-a sculat de la pământ şi, măcar că ochii îi erau deschişi, nu vedea nimic. L-au luat de mâini şi l-au dus în Damasc. 9 Trei zile n-a văzut şi n-a mâncat, nici n-a băut nimic. 10 În Damasc era un ucenic numit(G) Anania. Domnul i-a zis într-o vedenie: „Anania!” „Iată-mă Doamne”, a răspuns el. 11 Şi Domnul i-a zis: „Scoală-te, du-te pe uliţa care se cheamă Dreaptă şi caută în casa lui Iuda pe unul zis Saul, un om din Tars(H). Căci iată, el se roagă. 12 Şi a văzut în vedenie pe un om, numit Anania, intrând la el şi punându-şi mâinile peste el, ca să-şi capete iarăşi vederea.” 13 „Doamne”, a răspuns Anania, „am auzit de la mulţi despre toate(I) relele pe care le-a făcut omul acesta sfinţilor Tăi în Ierusalim, 14 ba şi aici are puteri din partea preoţilor celor mai de seamă ca să lege pe toţi care(J) cheamă Numele Tău.” 15 Dar Domnul i-a zis: „Du-te, căci el(K) este un vas pe care l-am ales ca să ducă Numele Meu înaintea neamurilor(L), înaintea împăraţilor(M) şi înaintea fiilor lui Israel, 16 şi îi(N) voi arăta tot ce trebuie să sufere pentru Numele Meu.” 17 Anania(O) a plecat; şi, după ce a intrat în casă, a pus(P) mâinile peste Saul şi a zis: „Frate Saule, Domnul Isus, care ţi S-a arătat pe drumul pe care veneai, m-a trimis ca să capeţi vederea şi să(Q) te umpli de Duhul Sfânt.” 18 Chiar în clipa aceea, au căzut de pe ochii lui un fel de solzi, şi el şi-a căpătat iarăşi vederea. Apoi s-a sculat şi a fost botezat. 19 După ce a mâncat, a prins iarăşi putere. Saul(R) a rămas câteva zile cu ucenicii, care erau în Damasc. 20 Şi îndată a început să propovăduiască în sinagogi că(S) Isus este Fiul lui Dumnezeu. 21 Toţi cei ce-l ascultau rămâneau uimiţi şi ziceau: „Nu este el(T) acela care făcea prăpăd în Ierusalim, printre cei ce chemau Numele acesta? Şi n-a venit el aici ca să-i ducă legaţi înaintea preoţilor celor mai de seamă?” 22 Totuşi Saul se întărea din ce în ce mai mult şi făcea de ruşine(U) pe iudeii care locuiau în Damasc, dovedind că Isus este Hristosul.
Iudeii caută să omoare pe Saul
23 După câtva timp, iudeii s-au(V) sfătuit să-l omoare, 24 şi uneltirea(W) lor a ajuns la cunoştinţa lui Saul. Porţile erau păzite zi şi noapte, ca să-l omoare. 25 Dar, într-o noapte, ucenicii l-au luat şi l-au(X) coborât prin zid, dându-l jos într-o coşniţă. 26 Când a ajuns(Y) în Ierusalim, Saul a căutat să se lipească de ucenici, dar toţi se temeau de el, căci nu puteau să creadă că este ucenic. 27 Atunci(Z), Barnaba l-a luat cu el, l-a dus la apostoli şi le-a istorisit cum, pe drum, Saul văzuse pe Domnul, care i-a vorbit, şi cum(AA) în Damasc propovăduise cu îndrăzneală în Numele lui Isus. 28 De atunci se ducea(AB) şi venea împreună cu ei în Ierusalim 29 şi propovăduia cu îndrăzneală în Numele Domnului. Vorbea şi se întreba şi cu evreii care vorbeau greceşte(AC), dar(AD) ei căutau să-l omoare. 30 Când au aflat fraţii de lucrul acesta, l-au dus la Cezareea şi l-au pornit la Tars.
Vindecarea lui Enea
31 Biserica(AE) se bucura de pace în toată Iudeea, Galileea şi Samaria, se întărea sufleteşte şi umbla în frica Domnului şi, cu ajutorul Duhului Sfânt, se înmulţea. 32 Pe când cerceta Petru pe(AF) toţi sfinţii, s-a pogorât şi la cei ce locuiau în Lida. 33 Acolo a găsit un om, anume Enea, care zăcea de opt ani olog în pat. 34 „Enea”, i-a zis Petru, „Isus Hristos te(AG) vindecă; scoală-te şi fă-ţi patul”. Şi Enea s-a sculat îndată. 35 Toţi locuitorii din Lida şi din Sarona(AH) l-au văzut şi s-au(AI) întors la Domnul.
Vindecarea Tabitei
36 În Iope, era o uceniţă numită Tabita, nume care, în tălmăcire, se zice Dorca. Ea făcea o mulţime de(AJ) fapte bune şi milostenii. 37 În vremea aceea, s-a îmbolnăvit şi a murit. După ce au scăldat-o, au pus-o într-o odaie de sus(AK). 38 Fiindcă Lida este aproape de Iope, ucenicii, când au auzit că Petru este acolo, au trimis doi oameni la el să-l roage: „Nu pregeta să vii până la noi”. 39 Petru s-a sculat şi a plecat împreună cu ei. Când a sosit, l-au dus în odaia de sus. Toate văduvele l-au înconjurat plângând şi i-au arătat hainele şi cămăşile pe care le făcea Dorca pe când era cu ele. 40 Petru a scos(AL) pe toată lumea afară, a îngenuncheat(AM) şi s-a rugat, apoi, s-a întors spre trup şi a(AN) zis: „Tabita, scoală-te!” Ea a deschis ochii şi, când a văzut pe Petru, a stat în capul oaselor. 41 El i-a dat mâna şi a ridicat-o în sus. A chemat îndată pe sfinţi şi pe văduve şi le-a pus-o înainte vie. 42 Minunea aceasta a fost cunoscută în toată cetatea Iope, şi(AO) mulţi au crezut în Domnul. 43 Petru a rămas multe zile în Iope la un tăbăcar numit Simon(AP).

Darby Translation
9 But Saul, still breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, came to the high priest
2 and asked of him letters to Damascus, to the synagogues, so that if he found any who were of the way, both men and women, he might bring [them] bound to Jerusalem.
3 But as he was journeying, it came to pass that he drew near to Damascus; and suddenly there shone round about him a light out of heaven,
4 and falling on the earth he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why dost thou persecute me?
5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And he [said], *I* am Jesus, whom *thou* persecutest.
6 But rise up and enter into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
7 But the men who were travelling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but beholding no one.
8 And Saul rose up from the earth, and his eyes being opened he saw no one. But leading [him] by the hand they brought him into Damascus.
9 And he was three days without seeing, and neither ate nor drank.
10 And there was a certain disciple in Damascus by name Ananias. And the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, [here am] I, Lord.
11 And the Lord [said] to him, Rise up and go into the street which is called Straight, and seek in the house of Judas one by name Saul, [he is] of Tarsus: for, behold, he is praying,
12 and has seen [in a vision] a man by name Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he should see.
13 And Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many concerning this man how much evil he has done to thy saints at Jerusalem;
14 and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call upon thy name.
15 And the Lord said to him, Go, for this [man] is an elect vessel to me, to bear my name before both nations and kings and [the] sons of Israel:
16 for *I* will shew to him how much he must suffer for my name.
17 And Ananias went and entered into the house; and laying his hands upon him he said, Saul, brother, the Lord has sent me, Jesus that appeared to thee in the way in which thou camest, that thou mightest see, and be filled with [the] Holy Spirit.
18 And straightway there fell from his eyes as it were scales, and he saw, and rising up was baptised;
19 and, having received food, got strength. And he was with the disciples who [were] in Damascus certain days.
20 And straightway in the synagogues he preached Jesus that *he* is the Son of God.
21 And all who heard were astonished and said, Is not this *he* who destroyed in Jerusalem those who called on this name, and here was come for this purpose, that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?
22 But Saul increased the more in power, and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.
23 Now when many days were fulfilled, the Jews consulted together to kill him.
24 But their plot became known to Saul. And they watched also the gates both day and night, that they might kill him;
25 but the disciples took him by night and let him down through the wall, lowering him in a basket.
26 And having arrived at Jerusalem he essayed to join himself to the disciples, and all were afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.
27 But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles, and related to them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus.
28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem,
29 and speaking boldly in the name of the Lord. And he spoke and discussed with the Hellenists; but they sought to kill him.
30 And the brethren knowing it, brought him down to Caesarea and sent him away to Tarsus.
31 The assemblies then throughout the whole of Judaea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, being edified and walking in the fear of the Lord, and were increased through the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
32 Now it came to pass that Peter, passing through all [quarters], descended also to the saints who inhabited Lydda.
33 And he found there a certain man, Aeneas by name, who had been lying for eight years upon a couch, who was paralysed.
34 And Peter said to him, Aeneas, Jesus, the Christ, heals thee: rise up, and make thy couch for thyself. And straightway he rose up.
35 And all who inhabited Lydda and the Saron saw him, who turned to the Lord.
36 And in Joppa there was a certain female disciple, by name Tabitha, which being interpreted means Dorcas. She was full of good works and alms-deeds which she did.
37 And it came to pass in those days that she grew sick and died; and, having washed her, they put her in [the] upper room.
38 But Lydda being near to Joppa, the disciples having heard that Peter was there, sent two men to him, beseeching him, Thou must not delay coming to us.
39 And Peter rising up went with them, whom, when arrived, they brought up into the upper chamber; and all the widows stood by him weeping and shewing him the body-coats and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.
40 But Peter, putting them all out, and kneeling down, prayed. And, turning to the body, he said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes, and, seeing Peter, sat up.
41 And having given her [his] hand, he raised her up, and having called the saints and the widows, presented her living.
42 And it became known throughout the whole of Joppa, and many believed on the Lord.
43 And it came to pass that he remained many days in Joppa with a certain Simon, a tanner.

9 ¶ Y Saulo, respirando aún amenazas y muerte contra los discípulos del Señor, vino al príncipe de los sacerdotes,
2 y demandó de él letras para Damasco a las sinagogas, para que si hallara algunos hombres o mujeres de este camino, los trajera presos a Jerusalén.
3 Y procediendo, aconteció que llegando cerca de Damasco, súbitamente le cercó un resplandor de luz del cielo;
4 y cayendo en tierra, oyó una voz que le decía: Saulo, Saulo, ¿por qué me persigues?
5 Y él dijo: ¿Quién eres, Señor? Y él Señor dijo: YO SOY Jesús el Nazareno a quien tú persigues; dura cosa te es dar coces contra el aguijón.
6 El, temblando y temeroso, dijo: ¿Señor, qué quieres que haga? Y el Señor le dice: Levántate y entra en la ciudad, y se te dirá lo que te conviene hacer.
7 Y los hombres que iban con Saulo, se pararon atónitos, oyendo a la verdad la voz, mas no viendo a nadie.
8 Entonces Saulo se levantó de tierra, y abriendo los ojos, no veía a nadie; así que, llevándole por la mano, le metieron en Damasco,
9 donde estuvo tres días sin ver, y no comió, ni bebió.
10 ¶ Había entonces un discípulo en Damasco llamado Ananías, al cual el Señor dijo en visión: Ananías. Y él respondió: Heme aquí, Señor.
11 Y el Señor le dijo: Levántate, y ve a la calle que se llama la Derecha, y busca en casa de Judas a uno llamado Saulo, de Tarso; porque he aquí, él ora;
12 y ha visto en visión un varón llamado Ananías, que entra y le pone la mano encima, para que reciba la vista.
13 Entonces Ananías respondió: Señor, he oído a muchos acerca de este hombre, cuántos males ha hecho a tus santos en Jerusalén;
14 y aun aquí tiene facultad de los príncipes de los sacerdotes de prender a todos los que invocan tu Nombre.
15 Y le dijo el Señor: Ve, porque vaso escogido me es éste, para que lleve mi Nombre en presencia de los gentiles, y de reyes, y de los hijos de Israel;
16 porque yo le mostraré cuánto le conviene que padezca por mi Nombre.
17 Ananías entonces fue, y entró en la casa, y poniéndole las manos encima, dijo: Saulo, hermano, el Señor Jesús, que te apareció en el camino por donde venías, me ha enviado para que recibas la vista y seas lleno del Espíritu Santo.
18 Y luego le cayeron de los ojos como escamas, y recibió al instante la vista; y levantándose, fue bautizado.
19 Y cuando comió, fue confortado. Y estuvo Saulo por algunos días con los discípulos que estaban en Damasco.
20 Y luego (entrando) en las sinagogas predicaba a Cristo, diciendo que éste era el Hijo de Dios.
21 Y todos los que le oían estaban atónitos, y decían: ¿No es éste el que asolaba en Jerusalén a los que invocaban este Nombre, y a eso vino acá, para llevarlos presos a los príncipes de los sacerdotes?
22 Pero Saulo se fortaleció más, y confundía a los judíos que moraban en Damasco, comprobando que éste es el Cristo.
23 ¶ Y como pasaron muchos días, los Judíos hicieron entre sí consejo de matarle;
24 mas las asechanzas de ellos fueron entendidas por Saulo. Y ellos guardaban las puertas de día y de noche para matarle.
25 Entonces los discípulos, tomándole de noche, le bajaron por el muro metido en una canasta.
26 Y cuando Saulo llegó a Jerusalén, trataba de juntarse con los discípulos; pero todos tenían miedo de él, no creyendo que era discípulo.
27 Entonces Bernabé, tomándole, lo trajo a los apóstoles, y les contó cómo había visto al Señor en el camino, y que le había hablado, y cómo en Damasco había hablado confiadamente en el Nombre de Jesús.
28 Y entraba y salía con ellos en Jerusalén;
29 y hablaba confiadamente en el Nombre del Señor; y disputaba con los griegos; pero ellos procuraban matarle.
30 Lo cual, cuando los hermanos entendieron, le acompañaron hasta Cesarea, y le enviaron a Tarso.
31 Las Iglesias entonces tenían paz por toda Judea, Galilea y Samaria, y eran edificadas, andando en el temor del Señor; y con consuelo del Espíritu Santo eran multiplicadas.
32 ¶ Y aconteció que Pedro, visitándolos a todos, vino también a los santos que habitaban en Lida.
33 Y halló allí a uno que se llamaba Eneas, que hacía ocho años que estaba en cama, pues era paralítico.
34 Y le dijo Pedro: Eneas, El Señor Jesús, el Cristo, te sana; levántate, y hazte tu cama. Y luego se levantó.
35 Y le vieron todos los que habitaban en Lida y en Sarón, los cuales se convirtieron al Señor.
36 ¶ Entonces en Jope había una discípula llamada Tabita, que si lo declaras, quiere decir Dorcas. Esta era llena de buenas obras y de limosnas {lit. actos de misericordia} que hacía.
37 Y aconteció en aquellos días que enfermando, murió; a la cual, después de lavada, la pusieron en un cenadero.
38 Y como Lida estaba cerca de Jope, los discípulos, oyendo que Pedro estaba allí, le enviaron dos hombres, rogándole: No te detengas en venir hasta nosotros.
39 Pedro entonces levantándose, fue con ellos; y cuando llegó, le llevaron al cenadero, donde le rodearon todas las viudas, llorando y mostrando las túnicas y los vestidos que Dorcas les hacía cuando estaba con ellas.
40 Entonces echados fuera todos, Pedro puesto de rodillas, oró; y vuelto al cuerpo, dijo: Tabita, levántate. Y ella abrió los ojos, y viendo a Pedro, se incorporó.
41 Y él le dio la mano, y la levantó; entonces, llamando a los santos y a las viudas, la presentó viva.
42 Esto fue notorio por toda Jope; y creyeron muchos en el Señor.
43 Y aconteció que se quedó muchos días en Jope en casa de un cierto Simón, curtidor.
