²⁹ Guard them and keep them until you weigh them before the chief priests and the Levites and the heads of fathers' houses in Israel at Jerusalem, ^(A)within the chambers of the house of the Lord.”

³³ On the fourth day, within the house of our God, the silver and the gold and the vessels were ^(A)weighed into the hands of ^(B)Meremoth the priest, son of Uriah, and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas, and with them were the Levites, ^(C)Jozabad the son of Jeshua and Noadiah the son of ^(D)Binnui. ³⁴ The whole was counted and weighed, and the weight of everything was recorded.

⁵ As for you, ^(A)always be sober-minded, ^(B)endure suffering, do the work of ^(C)an evangelist, ^(D)fulfill your ministry.

³¹ Therefore ^(A)be alert, remembering that ^(B)for three years I did not cease night or day ^(C)to admonish every one ^(D)with tears.

^34 (A)It is like a man ^(B)going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants^[a] in charge, ^(C)each with his work, and commands ^(D)the doorkeeper to stay awake. ^35 (E)Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, ^(F)in the evening, or ^(G)at midnight, or ^(H)when the rooster crows,^[b] or ^(I)in the morning—

Treasurers and Other Officials

²⁰ And of the Levites, Ahijah had charge of ^(A)the treasuries of the house of God and the treasuries of the dedicated gifts. ²¹ The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers' houses belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: ^(B)Jehieli.^[a]

^22 (C)The sons of Jehieli, Zetham, and Joel his brother, were in charge of the treasuries of the house of the Lord. ^23 (D)Of the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites— ²⁴ and ^(E)Shebuel the son of Gershom, son of Moses, was chief officer in charge of the treasuries. ²⁵ His brothers: from ^(F)Eliezer were his son Rehabiah, and his son ^(G)Jeshaiah, and his son Joram, and his son Zichri, and his son ^(H)Shelomoth. ²⁶ This Shelomoth and his brothers were in charge of all the treasuries of the dedicated gifts that David the king and the heads of the fathers' houses and the officers of the thousands and the hundreds and the commanders of the army ^(I)had dedicated.
