16 於 是 這 設 巴 薩 來 建 立 耶 路 撒 冷 神 殿 的 根 基 。 這 殿 從 那 時 直 到 如 今 尚 未 造 成 。 』
17 現 在 王 若 以 為 美 ， 請 察 巴 比 倫 王 的 府 庫 ， 看 古 列 王 降 旨 允 准 在 耶 路 撒 冷 建 造 神 的 殿 沒 有 ， 王 的 心 意 如 何 ？ 請 降 旨 曉 諭 我 們 。 」

15 and he told him, ‘Take these articles and go and deposit them in the temple in Jerusalem. And rebuild the house of God on its site.’
16 “So this Sheshbazzar came and laid the foundations of the house of God(A) in Jerusalem. From that day to the present it has been under construction but is not yet finished.”
17 Now if it pleases the king, let a search be made in the royal archives(B) of Babylon to see if King Cyrus did in fact issue a decree to rebuild this house of God in Jerusalem. Then let the king send us his decision in this matter.

15 He said to him, “Take these vessels and go deposit them in the temple in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be rebuilt in its proper location.”[a] 16 Then this Sheshbazzar went and laid the foundations of the temple of God in Jerusalem. From that time to the present moment[b] it has been in the process of being rebuilt, although it is not yet finished.’
17 “Now if the king is so inclined,[c] let a search be conducted in the royal archives[d] there in Babylon in order to determine whether King Cyrus did in fact issue orders for this temple of God to be rebuilt in Jerusalem. Then let the king send us a decision concerning this matter.”
