^14 (A)And the gold and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple that was in Jerusalem and brought into the temple of Babylon, these Cyrus the king took out of the temple of Babylon, and they were delivered to one whose name was ^(B)Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor;

⁵ And also ^(A)let the gold and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple that is in Jerusalem and brought to Babylon, be restored and brought back to the temple that is in Jerusalem, each to its place. You shall put them in the house of God.”

^2 (A)Belshazzar, when he tasted the wine, commanded that ^(B)the vessels of gold and of silver that Nebuchadnezzar his father^[a] had taken out of the temple in Jerusalem be brought, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them. ³ Then they brought in ^(C)the golden vessels that had been taken out of the temple, the house of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines drank from them.

^19 (A)also the small bowls and the fire pans and the basins and the pots and ^(B)the lampstands and ^(C)the dishes for incense ^(D)and the bowls for drink offerings. What was of gold the captain of the guard took away as gold, and what was of silver, as silver.

¹⁶ Then this ^(A)Sheshbazzar came and ^(B)laid the foundations of the house of God that is in Jerusalem, and from that time until now it has been in building, and it is ^(C)not yet finished.’

¹² Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had occurred, for he was astonished at ^(A)the teaching of the Lord.

⁷ He was with ^(A)the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, a man of intelligence, who summoned Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God. ⁸ But Elymas the ^(B)magician (for that is the meaning of his name) ^(C)opposed them, seeking to turn ^(D)the proconsul away from the faith.
