¹¹ And this was their reply to us: ‘We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the house that was built many years ago, ^(A)which a great king of Israel built and ^(B)finished.

¹⁴ But far be it from me to boast ^(A)except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which^[a] the world ^(B)has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

¹⁶ Do you not know that if you present yourselves ^(A)to anyone as obedient slaves,^[a] you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

¹⁶ For ^(A)I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is ^(B)the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew ^(C)first and also to ^(D)the Greek.

²³ For this very night ^(A)there ^(B)stood before me ^(C)an angel of the God ^(D)to whom I belong and ^(E)whom I worship,

Acknowledge Christ Before Men

⁸ “And I tell you, ^(A)everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge ^(B)before the angels of God,

^32 (A)So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven,

⁹ And he said to them, “I am a Hebrew, and I fear ^(A)the Lord, the God of heaven, ^(B)who made the sea and the dry land.”

²⁶ Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the door of the burning fiery furnace; he declared, ^(A)“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the ^(B)Most High God, come out, and come here!” Then ^(C)Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the fire.
