^7 (A)Since the days of our fathers to this day we have been in great guilt, and on account of our iniquities we, our kings and our priests have been given into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to plunder and to ^[a](B)open shame, as it is this day.

⁴ And you will say to them, ‘Thus says Yahweh, “^(A)If you will not listen to Me, to ^(B)walk in My law which I have given before you,

¹⁰ But they ^(A)have not become ^[a]contrite even to this day, nor have they feared nor ^(B)walked in My law or My statutes, which I have put before you and before your fathers.”’
