Ezekiel 8:5-6

5 He said to me, “Son of man, look toward the north.” So I looked toward the north, and what did I see! There, north of the altar gate, was this idolatrous image of jealousy beside the entrance. 6 He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing—what great abominations the house of Israel is practicing here, to distance themselves[a] from my sanctuary! But you will see even greater abominations.”

5 And he said to me, “Son of man,[a] lift up now[b] your eyes toward the north.”[c] And I lifted up my eyes toward the north,[d] and, look, there was to the north of the gate of the altar this image of jealousy at the entrance. 6 And he said to me, “Son of man,[e] “Do you see[f] what they are doing—great detestable things that the house of Israel is committing[g] here so as to drive me from[h] my sanctuary, and yet you will see again[i] greater[j] detestable things.”
