Ezekiel 7:24-27

24 I will bring the worst of the nations
to take possession of their houses.
I will put an end to the arrogance of the strong,
and their holy places shall be profaned.(A)
25 When anguish comes, they will seek peace,
but there shall be none.(B)
26 Disaster comes upon disaster;
rumor follows rumor;
they shall keep seeking a vision from the prophet;
instruction shall perish from the priest
and counsel from the elders.(C)
27 The king shall mourn,
the prince shall be wrapped in despair,
and the hands of the people of the land shall tremble.
According to their way I will deal with them;
according to their own judgments I will judge them.
And they shall know that I am the Lord.(D)

I will also put an end to the (B)pride of the strong ones, and their (C)holy places will be profaned. 25 When anguish comes, they will seek (D)peace, but there will be none. 26 (E)Disaster will come upon disaster and (F)rumor will be added to rumor; then they will seek a (G)vision from a prophet, but the (H)Law will be lost from the priest, and (I)counsel from the elders. 27 The king will mourn, the prince will be (J)clothed in horror, and the hands of the people of the land will [a]tremble. I will deal with them because of their conduct, and by their judgments I will judge them. And they will know that I am the Lord.’”
