The End Has Come
7 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, this is what the Sovereign Lord says to the land of Israel:
“‘The end!(A) The end has come
upon the four corners(B) of the land!
3 The end is now upon you,
and I will unleash my anger against you.
I will judge you according to your conduct(C)
and repay you for all your detestable practices.(D)
4 I will not look on you with pity;(E)
I will not spare you.
I will surely repay you for your conduct
and for the detestable practices among you.
“‘Then you will know that I am the Lord.’(F)
5 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘Disaster!(G) Unheard-of[a] disaster!
See, it comes!
6 The end(H) has come!
The end has come!
It has roused itself against you.
See, it comes!
7 Doom has come upon you,
upon you who dwell in the land.
The time has come! The day(I) is near!(J)
There is panic, not joy, on the mountains.
8 I am about to pour out my wrath(K) on you
and spend my anger against you.
I will judge you according to your conduct
and repay you for all your detestable practices.(L)
9 I will not look on you with pity;
I will not spare you.(M)
I will repay you for your conduct
and for the detestable practices among you.(N)
“‘Then you will know that it is I the Lord who strikes you.(O)
10 “‘See, the day!
See, it comes!
Doom has burst forth,
the rod(P) has budded,
arrogance has blossomed!
11 Violence(Q) has arisen,[b]
a rod to punish the wicked.
None of the people will be left,
none of that crowd—
none of their wealth,
nothing of value.(R)
12 The time has come!
The day has arrived!
Let not the buyer(S) rejoice
nor the seller grieve,
for my wrath is on the whole crowd.(T)
13 The seller will not recover
the property that was sold—
as long as both buyer and seller live.
For the vision concerning the whole crowd
will not be reversed.
Because of their sins, not one of them
will preserve their life.(U)
14 “‘They have blown the trumpet,(V)
they have made all things ready,
but no one will go into battle,
for my wrath(W) is on the whole crowd.
15 Outside is the sword;
inside are plague and famine.
Those in the country
will die by the sword;
those in the city
will be devoured by famine and plague.(X)
16 The fugitives(Y) who escape
will flee to the mountains.
Like doves(Z) of the valleys,
they will all moan,
each for their own sins.(AA)
17 Every hand will go limp;(AB)
every leg will be wet with urine.(AC)
18 They will put on sackcloth(AD)
and be clothed with terror.(AE)
Every face will be covered with shame,
and every head will be shaved.(AF)
19 “‘They will throw their silver into the streets,(AG)
and their gold will be treated as a thing unclean.
Their silver and gold
will not be able to deliver them
in the day of the Lord’s wrath.(AH)
It will not satisfy(AI) their hunger
or fill their stomachs,
for it has caused them to stumble(AJ) into sin.(AK)
20 They took pride in their beautiful jewelry
and used it to make(AL) their detestable idols.
They made it into vile images;(AM)
therefore I will make it a thing unclean for them.(AN)
21 I will give their wealth as plunder(AO) to foreigners
and as loot to the wicked of the earth,
who will defile it.(AP)
22 I will turn my face(AQ) away from the people,
and robbers will desecrate the place I treasure.
They will enter it
and will defile it.(AR)
23 “‘Prepare chains!
For the land is full of bloodshed,(AS)
and the city is full of violence.(AT)
24 I will bring the most wicked of nations
to take possession of their houses.
I will put an end to the pride of the mighty,
and their sanctuaries(AU) will be desecrated.(AV)
25 When terror comes,
they will seek peace in vain.(AW)
26 Calamity upon calamity(AX) will come,
and rumor upon rumor.
They will go searching for a vision from the prophet,(AY)
priestly instruction in the law will cease,
the counsel of the elders will come to an end.(AZ)
27 The king will mourn,
the prince will be clothed with despair,(BA)
and the hands of the people of the land will tremble.
I will deal with them according to their conduct,(BB)
and by their own standards I will judge them.
“‘Then they will know that I am the Lord.(BC)’”

2 人 子 啊 ， 主 耶 和 華 對 以 色 列 地 如 此 說 ： 結 局 到 了 ， 結 局 到 了 地 的 四 境 ！
3 現 在 你 的 結 局 已 經 臨 到 ， 我 必 使 我 的 怒 氣 歸 與 你 ， 也 必 按 你 的 行 為 審 判 你 ， 照 你 一 切 可 憎 的 事 刑 罰 你 。
4 我 眼 必 不 顧 惜 你 ， 也 不 可 憐 你 ， 卻 要 按 你 所 行 的 報 應 你 ， 照 你 中 間 可 憎 的 事 刑 罰 你 。 你 就 知 道 我 是 耶 和 華 。
5 主 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 有 一 災 ， 獨 有 一 災 ； 看 哪 ， 臨 近 了 ！
6 結 局 來 了 ， 結 局 來 了 ， 向 你 興 起 。 看 哪 ， 來 到 了 ！
7 境 內 的 居 民 哪 ， 所 定 的 災 臨 到 你 ， 時 候 到 了 ， 日 子 近 了 ， 乃 是 鬨 嚷 並 非 在 山 上 歡 呼 的 日 子 。
8 我 快 要 將 我 的 忿 怒 傾 在 你 身 上 ， 向 你 成 就 我 怒 中 所 定 的 ， 按 你 的 行 為 審 判 你 ， 照 你 一 切 可 憎 的 事 刑 罰 你 。
9 我 眼 必 不 顧 惜 你 ， 也 不 可 憐 你 ， 必 按 你 所 行 的 報 應 你 ， 照 你 中 間 可 憎 的 事 刑 罰 你 。 你 就 知 道 擊 打 你 的 是 我 耶 和 華 。
10 看 哪 ， 看 哪 ， 日 子 快 到 了 ， 所 定 的 災 已 經 發 出 。 杖 已 經 開 花 ， 驕 傲 已 經 發 芽 。
11 強 暴 興 起 ， 成 了 罰 惡 的 杖 。 以 色 列 人 ， 或 是 他 們 的 群 眾 ， 或 是 他 們 的 財 寶 ， 無 一 存 留 ， 他 們 中 間 也 沒 有 得 尊 榮 的 。
12 時 候 到 了 ， 日 子 近 了 ， 買 主 不 可 歡 喜 ， 賣 主 不 可 愁 煩 ， 因 為 烈 怒 已 經 臨 到 他 們 眾 人 身 上 。
13 賣 主 雖 然 存 活 ， 卻 不 能 歸 回 再 得 所 賣 的 ， 因 為 這 異 象 關 乎 他 們 眾 人 。 誰 都 不 得 歸 回 ， 也 沒 有 人 在 他 的 罪 孽 中 堅 立 自 己 。
14 他 們 已 經 吹 角 ， 預 備 齊 全 ， 卻 無 一 人 出 戰 ， 因 為 我 的 烈 怒 臨 到 他 們 眾 人 身 上 。
15 在 外 有 刀 劍 ， 在 內 有 瘟 疫 、 饑 荒 ； 在 田 野 的 ， 必 遭 刀 劍 而 死 ； 在 城 中 的 ， 必 有 饑 荒 、 瘟 疫 吞 滅 他 。
16 其 中 所 逃 脫 的 就 必 逃 脫 ， 各 人 因 自 己 的 罪 孽 在 山 上 發 出 悲 聲 ， 好 像 谷 中 的 鴿 子 哀 鳴 。
17 手 都 發 軟 ， 膝 弱 如 水 。
18 要 用 麻 布 束 腰 ， 被 戰 兢 所 蓋 ； 各 人 臉 上 羞 愧 ， 頭 上 光 禿 。
19 他 們 要 將 銀 子 拋 在 街 上 ， 金 子 看 如 污 穢 之 物 。 當 耶 和 華 發 怒 的 日 子 ， 他 們 的 金 銀 不 能 救 他 們 ， 不 能 使 心 裡 知 足 ， 也 不 能 使 肚 腹 飽 滿 ， 因 為 這 金 銀 作 了 他 們 罪 孽 的 絆 腳 石 。
20 論 到 耶 和 華 妝 飾 華 美 的 殿 ， 他 建 立 得 威 嚴 ， 他 們 卻 在 其 中 製 造 可 憎 可 厭 的 偶 像 ， 所 以 這 殿 我 使 他 們 看 如 污 穢 之 物 。
21 我 必 將 這 殿 交 付 外 邦 人 為 掠 物 ， 交 付 地 上 的 惡 人 為 擄 物 ； 他 們 也 必 褻 瀆 這 殿 。
22 我 必 轉 臉 不 顧 以 色 列 人 ， 他 們 褻 瀆 我 隱 密 之 所 ， 強 盜 也 必 進 去 褻 瀆 。
23 要 製 造 鎖 鍊 ； 因 為 這 地 遍 滿 流 血 的 罪 ， 城 邑 充 滿 強 暴 的 事 ，
24 所 以 我 必 使 列 國 中 最 惡 的 人 來 佔 據 他 們 的 房 屋 ； 我 必 使 強 暴 人 的 驕 傲 止 息 ， 他 們 的 聖 所 都 要 被 褻 瀆 。
25 毀 滅 臨 近 了 ， 他 們 要 求 平 安 ， 卻 無 平 安 可 得 。
26 災 害 加 上 災 害 ， 風 聲 接 連 風 聲 ； 他 們 必 向 先 知 求 異 象 ， 但 祭 司 講 的 律 法 、 長 老 設 的 謀 略 都 必 斷 絕 。
27 君 要 悲 哀 ， 王 要 披 淒 涼 為 衣 ， 國 民 的 手 都 發 顫 。 我 必 照 他 們 的 行 為 待 他 們 ， 按 他 們 應 得 的 審 判 他 們 ， 他 們 就 知 道 我 是 耶 和 華 。

7 Lời của CHÚA phán cùng Ta: 2 “Ngươi, hỡi con người, CHÚA phán như vầy với đất Y-sơ-ra-ên: Tận cùng đã đến, sự tận cùng đã đến trên bốn phương đất. 3 Giờ đây, sự tận cùng ngươi đã đến. Ta sẽ đổ cơn thịnh nộ Ta trên ngươi. Ta sẽ đoán phạt ngươi tùy theo đường lối ngươi, Ta sẽ báo trả ngươi mọi điều ghê tởm ngươi đã làm. 4 Mắt Ta sẽ không đoái nhìn ngươi và không thương xót ngươi; Ta sẽ trừng phạt ngươi vì các đường lối ngươi và những điều ghê tởm ở giữa ngươi. Bấy giờ ngươi sẽ biết rằng chính Ta là CHÚA.
5 CHÚA phán như vầy: Tai họa này đến tai họa khác, kìa tai họa đã đến. 6 Tận cùng đã đến, tận cùng đã đến, kìa sự tận cùng đã đến trên ngươi. 7 Hỡi dân cư trong vùng, sự bất hạnh của ngươi đã đến, thì giờ đã đến, ngày đã gần; sẽ có sự náo động chứ không phải reo hò trên núi. 8 Giờ đây Ta sẽ đổ ngay cơn thịnh nộ trên ngươi, Ta sẽ làm thành cơn giận Ta trên ngươi. Ta sẽ đoán phạt ngươi tùy theo đường lối ngươi, Ta sẽ báo trả ngươi mọi điều ghê tởm ngươi đã làm. 9 Mắt Ta sẽ không đoái nhìn ngươi và không thương xót ngươi; Ta sẽ trừng phạt ngươi vì các đường lối ngươi và những điều ghê tởm ở giữa ngươi. Bấy giờ ngươi sẽ biết rằng chính Ta là CHÚA, Đấng đã đánh phạt.
10 Này, ngày ấy đây; kìa nó đã đến, sự bất hạnh ngươi đã xuất hiện; gậy đã trổ bông, sự kiêu căng đã nứt lộc. 11 Sự cường bạo đã nổi lên như cây gậy gian ác; không một ai trong chúng nó sẽ tồn tại; không còn đám đông, không còn của cải, không còn gì xuất sắc giữa vòng chúng. 12 Thì giờ đã tới, ngày đã đến. Kẻ mua chớ vui mừng, người bán chớ than khóc, vì cơn thịnh nộ đổ xuống trên cả đám. 13 Vì kẻ bán sẽ không trở lại chuộc vật mình đã bán khi cả hai vẫn còn sống. Vì khải tượng về cả đám đông sẽ không bị thu hồi và vì tội lỗi của mình, không ai giữ được mạng sống. 14 Chúng nó đã thổi kèn và mọi sự đều sẵn sàng nhưng không ai ra trận vì cơn thịnh nộ Ta đổ xuống trên cả đám.
15 Bên ngoài có gươm giáo, bên trong thì dịch lệ và đói kém. Kẻ ở ngoài đồng sẽ chết vì gươm giáo, còn kẻ ở trong thành sẽ bị đói kém và dịch lệ tiêu diệt. 16 Nếu có ai sống sót thoát nạn, chúng sẽ ở trên các núi như bồ câu nơi thung lũng; tất cả chúng nó mỗi người sẽ than khóc vì tội lỗi mình. 17 Mọi bàn tay sẽ trở nên yếu đuối, mọi đầu gối mềm nhũn như nước. 18 Chúng sẽ mặc áo vải gai thô và sự kinh hoàng bao phủ họ. Mọi mặt đều hổ thẹn và đầu bị cạo trọc. 19 Chúng sẽ ném bạc ra đường và vàng của chúng trở nên ô uế. Vàng bạc sẽ không giải cứu được chúng trong ngày thịnh nộ của CHÚA, không làm cho chúng hết đói, không làm cho chúng no bụng. Vì ấy là vật làm chúng vấp ngã vào tội lỗi. 20 Từ những đồ nữ trang đẹp đẽ mà chúng rất kiêu hãnh, chúng làm thành những tượng thần ghê tởm, những vật gớm ghiếc. Cho nên Ta sẽ làm các vật ấy thành đồ ô uế cho chúng. 21 Ta sẽ trao những đồ ấy cho những người ngoại quốc như của cướp, cho những kẻ gian ác trên đất như chiến lợi phẩm, chúng sẽ làm cho ô uế. 22 Ta sẽ quay mặt Ta khỏi chúng nó, chúng nó sẽ làm ô uế nơi quí giá của Ta, kẻ cướp sẽ vào đó và làm ô uế nó.
23 Hãy chuẩn bị xiềng xích vì đất đầy dẫy tội đổ máu và thành thì đầy cường bạo. 24 Ta sẽ đem dân độc ác nhất trong các dân đến chiếm lấy nhà cửa chúng nó. Ta sẽ tiêu diệt sự kiêu căng của những kẻ hùng mạnh và các Nơi Thánh của chúng sẽ bị làm ô uế. 25 Khi thống khổ đến, chúng tìm kiếm sự bình an nhưng không thấy. 26 Tai họa này đến tai họa khác kéo đến; tin đồn này đến tin đồn khác dồn dập. Chúng sẽ luống công tìm khải tượng nơi đấng tiên tri; lời giáo huấn của thầy tế lễ cùng sự cố vấn của các trưởng lão đều bị hủy diệt. 27 Vua sẽ than khóc, hoàng tử sẽ mặc lấy sự sụp đổ hoàn toàn, bàn tay của dân chúng trong nước sẽ run rẩy. Judgment on Israel Is Near
7 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “And you, son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel:
(A)‘An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.
3 Now the end has come upon you,
And I will send My anger against you;
I will judge you (B)according to your ways,
And I will repay you for all your abominations.
4 (C)My eye will not spare you,
Nor will I have pity;
But I will repay your ways,
And your abominations will be in your midst;
(D)Then you shall know that I am the Lord!’
5 “Thus says the Lord God:
‘A disaster, a singular (E)disaster;
Behold, it has come!
6 An end has come,
The end has come;
It has dawned for you;
Behold, it has come!
7 (F)Doom has come to you, you who dwell in the land;
(G)The time has come,
A day of trouble is near,
And not of rejoicing in the mountains.
8 Now upon you I will soon (H)pour out My fury,
And spend My anger upon you;
I will judge you according to your ways,
And I will repay you for all your abominations.
9 ‘My eye will not spare,
Nor will I have pity;
I will [a]repay you according to your ways,
And your abominations will be in your midst.
Then you shall know that I am the Lord who strikes.
10 ‘Behold, the day!
Behold, it has come!
(I)Doom has gone out;
The rod has blossomed,
Pride has budded.
11 (J)Violence has risen up into a rod of wickedness;
None of them shall remain,
None of their multitude,
None of [b]them;
(K)Nor shall there be wailing for them.
12 The time has come,
The day draws near.
‘Let not the buyer (L)rejoice,
Nor the seller (M)mourn,
For wrath is on their whole multitude.
13 For the seller shall not return to what has been sold,
Though he may still be alive;
For the vision concerns the whole multitude,
And it shall not turn back;
No one will strengthen himself
Who lives in iniquity.
14 ‘They have blown the trumpet and made everyone ready,
But no one goes to battle;
For My wrath is on all their multitude.
15 (N)The sword is outside,
And the pestilence and famine within.
Whoever is in the field
Will die by the sword;
And whoever is in the city,
Famine and pestilence will devour him.
16 ‘Those who (O)survive will escape and be on the mountains
Like doves of the valleys,
All of them mourning,
Each for his iniquity.
17 Every (P)hand will be feeble,
And every knee will be as weak as water.
18 They will also (Q)be girded with sackcloth;
Horror will cover them;
Shame will be on every face,
Baldness on all their heads.
19 ‘They will throw their silver into the streets,
And their gold will be like refuse;
Their (R)silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them
In the day of the wrath of the Lord;
They will not satisfy their souls,
Nor fill their stomachs,
Because it became their stumbling block of iniquity.
20 ‘As for the beauty of his ornaments,
He set it in majesty;
(S)But they made from it
The images of their abominations—
Their detestable things;
Therefore I have made it
Like refuse to them.
21 I will give it as (T)plunder
Into the hands of strangers,
And to the wicked of the earth as spoil;
And they shall defile it.
22 I will turn My face from them,
And they will defile My secret place;
For robbers shall enter it and defile it.
23 ‘Make a chain,
For (U)the land is filled with crimes of blood,
And the city is full of violence.
24 Therefore I will bring the (V)worst of the Gentiles,
And they will possess their houses;
I will cause the pomp of the strong to cease,
And their holy places shall be (W)defiled.
25 [c]Destruction comes;
They will seek peace, but there shall be none.
26 (X)Disaster will come upon disaster,
And rumor will be upon rumor.
(Y)Then they will seek a vision from a prophet;
But the law will perish from the priest,
And counsel from the elders.
27 ‘The king will mourn,
The prince will be clothed with desolation,
And the hands of the common people will tremble.
I will do to them according to their way,
And according to what they deserve I will judge them;
Then they shall know that I am the Lord!’ ”
