15 The remainder, five thousand cubits in width and twenty-five thousand in length, shall be for ordinary use for the city, for dwellings and for pasturelands. In the middle of it shall be the city,(A) 16 and these shall be its dimensions: the north side four thousand five hundred cubits, the south side four thousand five hundred, the east side four thousand five hundred, and the west side four thousand five hundred.(B) 17 The city shall have pasturelands: on the north two hundred fifty cubits, on the south two hundred fifty, on the east two hundred fifty, on the west two hundred fifty.(C) 18 The remainder of the length alongside the holy portion shall be ten thousand cubits to the east and ten thousand to the west, and it shall be alongside the holy portion. Its produce shall be food for the workers of the city.(D) 19 The workers of the city, from all the tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it.(E) 20 The whole portion that you shall set apart shall be twenty-five thousand cubits square, that is, the holy portion together with the property of the city.(F)

15 And the remaining part[a] of five thousand cubits[b] in the width by[c] twenty-five thousand cubits,[d] is unholy;[e] it is for the city as dwelling and as pastureland; and the city will be located in the middle of it.[f] 16 And these shall be its measurements: on its side to the north, four thousand five hundred cubits;[g] and on its side to the south, four thousand five hundred cubits;[h] and on the eastern side,[i] four thousand five hundred cubits;[j] and on the western side,[k] four thousand five hundred cubits.[l] 17 And a pastureland shall be for the city northwards, two hundred and fifty cubits,[m] southwards two hundred and fifty cubits,[n] and eastwards two hundred and fifty cubits,[o] and westwards two hundred and fifty cubits.[p] 18 And the rest in its length alongside[q] the holy district,[r] ten thousand cubits[s] eastwards and ten thousand[t] westwards; and it shall be alongside[u] the holy district[v] and its yield[w] shall be as food for the workers of the city. 19 And the workers of the city from all the tribes of Israel shall cultivate it. 20 All of the contribution, twenty-five thousand by twenty five thousand cubits[x] square, you shall set apart as the holy district[y] along with the property of the city.
