The Altar

13 “These are the measurements of the altar(A) in units of length (each unit being the standard length plus three inches):[a](B) The gutter is 21 inches[b] deep and 21 inches wide, with a rim of nine inches[c] around its edge. This is the base[d] of the altar. 14 The distance from the gutter on the ground to the lower ledge is 3½ feet,[e] and the width of the ledge is 21 inches. There are 7 feet[f] from the small ledge to the large ledge, whose width is also 21 inches. 15 The altar hearth[g] is 7 feet high, and four horns(C) project upward from the hearth. 16 The hearth is square, 21 feet[h] long by 21 feet wide.(D) 17 The ledge is 24½ feet[i] long by 24½ feet wide, with four equal sides.(E) The rim all around it is 10½ inches,[j] and its gutter is 21 inches all around it. The Altar

13 “These are the dimensions of the altar by long cubits in which each is a cubit and a handbreadth: its base shall be one cubit high[a] and one cubit wide, with a rim of one span around its edge. This shall be the height of the altar:(A) 14 from the base on the ground to the lower ledge, two cubits, with a width of one cubit, and from the lower ledge to the upper ledge, four cubits, with a width of one cubit,(B) 15 and the altar hearth, four cubits, and from the altar hearth projecting upward, four horns.(C) 16 The altar hearth shall be square, twelve cubits long by twelve wide.(D) 17 The ledge also shall be square, fourteen cubits long by fourteen wide, with a rim around it half a cubit high, and its surrounding base, one cubit. Its steps shall face east.”(E)
