⁷ And He said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of My ^(A)throne and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will ^(B)dwell among the sons of Israel forever. And the house of Israel will not again defile My holy name, neither they nor their kings, by their prostitution and by the ^[a](C)corpses of their kings ^[b]when they die,

⁹ Now let them ^(A)remove their prostitution and the ^[a]corpses of their kings far from Me, and I will ^(B)dwell among them forever.

⁵ And ^(A)there will no longer be any night; and they ^[a]will not have need ^(B)of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illuminate them; and they will ^(C)reign forever and ever.

⁸ And on that day ^(A)living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter.

The River and the Tree of Life

22 And ^(A)he showed me a ^(B)river of the ^(C)water of life, ^[a]clear ^(D)as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of ^[b]the Lamb, ² in the middle of ^(E)its street. ^(F)On either side of the river was ^(G)the tree of life, bearing twelve ^[c]kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

²⁶ and ^(A)they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it;

⁹ ‘This is what the Lord God says: “^(A)No foreigner uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, of all the foreigners who are among the sons of Israel, shall enter My sanctuary.

²⁷ and ^(A)nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those ^[a]whose names are ^(B)written in the Lamb’s book of life.
