Ezekiel 42:15-20

15 Then he had finished measuring the inner house; he brought me out by the way of the (A)gate which faced toward the east and measured it all around. 16 He measured on the east [a]side with the measuring reed 500 reeds by the (B)measuring reed. 17 He measured on the north side 500 reeds by the measuring reed. 18 On the south side he measured 500 reeds with the measuring reed. 19 He turned to the west side and measured 500 reeds with the measuring reed. 20 He measured it [b]on the four sides; it had a (C)wall all around, the (D)length 500 and the (E)width 500, to (F)divide between the holy and the profane.

15 Now when he had finished measuring the interior of the temple area, he led me out by the gate which faced east, and measured the temple area round about. 16 He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred cubits by the measuring reed. 17 Then he turned and measured[a] the north side, five hundred cubits by the measuring reed. 18 Then he turned and measured[b] the south side, five hundred cubits by the measuring reed. 19 Then he turned to the west side and measured, five hundred cubits by the measuring reed. 20 He measured it on the four sides. It had a wall around it, five hundred cubits long and five hundred cubits broad, to make a separation between the holy and the common.
