The North Gate

20 As for the (A)gate of the outer court which faced the north, he measured its length and its width. 21 [a]It had three (B)guardrooms on each side; and its (C)side pillars and its porches [b]had the same measurement as the first gate. Its length was [c](D)fifty cubits and the width (E)twenty-five cubits. 22 Its (F)windows and its porches and its palm tree ornaments had the same measurements as the (G)gate which faced toward the east; and [d]it was reached by seven (H)steps, and its [e]porch was in front of them. 23 The inner court had a gate opposite the gate on the north as well as the gate on the east; and he measured one (I)hundred cubits from gate to gate.

Its length was (E)fifty cubits, and its breadth (F)twenty-five cubits. 22 And (G)its windows, its vestibule, and (H)its palm trees were of the same size as those of the gate that faced toward the east. And by seven steps (I)people would go up to it, and find its vestibule before them. 23 And opposite the gate on the north, as on the east, was a gate to (J)the inner court. And (K)he measured from gate to gate, a hundred cubits.
