Yahweh’s Covenant of Peace

25 “I will cut a (A)covenant of peace with them and (B)cause harmful beasts to cease from the land so that they may (C)live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. 26 I will make them and the places all around My hill a (D)blessing. And I will cause (E)showers to come down in their season; they will be showers of (F)blessing. 27 Also the tree of the field will yield its fruit, and the earth will yield its produce, and they will be (G)secure on their land. Then they will know that I am Yahweh, when I have (H)broken the bars of their yoke and have delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them. 28 They will no longer be plunder to the nations, and the beasts of the earth will not devour them; but they will (I)live securely, and no one will make them tremble. 29 I will establish for them a [a](J)renowned planting place, and they will (K)not again be [b]victims of famine in the land, and they will not (L)bear the dishonor of the nations anymore. 30 Then they will know that (M)I, Yahweh their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are My people,” declares Lord Yahweh. 31 “As for you, My (N)sheep, the (O)sheep of My pasture, you are men, and I am your God,” declares Lord Yahweh.

25 “I will make with them a covenant of peace and banish wild beasts from the land, so that they may dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. 26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing. 27 And the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase, and they shall be secure in their land; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I break the bars of their yoke, and deliver them from the hand of those who enslaved them. 28 They shall no more be a prey to the nations, nor shall the beasts of the land devour them; they shall dwell securely, and none shall make them afraid. 29 And I will provide for them prosperous[a] plantations so that they shall no more be consumed with hunger in the land, and no longer suffer the reproach of the nations. 30 And they shall know that I, the Lord their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, says the Lord God. 31 And you are my sheep, the sheep of my pasture,[b] and I am your God, says the Lord God.”
