Ezekiel 32:17-32

17 Now it happened in the (A)twelfth year, on the (B)fifteenth of the month, that the word of Yahweh came to me saying, 18 “Son of man, (C)wail for the hordes of Egypt and (D)bring it down, her and the daughters of the powerful nations, to the (E)nether world, with those who go down to the pit;
19 ‘Whom do you surpass in beauty?
Go down and make your bed with the (F)uncircumcised.’
20 They shall fall in the midst of those who are slain by the sword. [a]She is given over to the sword; they have (G)drawn her and all her multitude away. 21 The [b](H)dominant among the mighty ones shall speak of him and his helpers from the midst of Sheol, ‘They have gone down, they lie still, the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.’
22 “(I)Assyria is there and all her assembly; [c]her graves are round about [d]her. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword, 23 whose (J)graves are put in the remotest parts of the pit, and her assembly is all round about her grave. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword, who put terror in the land of the living.
24 “(K)Elam is there and all her multitude all around her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who went down uncircumcised to the (L)lower parts of the earth, who put their terror in the (M)land of the living and (N)bore their dishonor with those who went down to the pit. 25 They have put a (O)bed for her among the slain with all her multitude. Her graves are all around it; all of them are uncircumcised, slain by the sword (although their terror was put in the land of the living), and they bore their dishonor with those who go down to the pit; [e]they were put in the midst of the slain.
26 “(P)Meshech, (Q)Tubal, and all their multitude are there; their graves are all around them. All of them were slain by the sword (R)uncircumcised, though they put their terror in the land of the living. 27 (S)Nor do they lie beside the fallen (T)mighty ones of the uncircumcised, who went down to Sheol with their weapons of war and whose swords were put under their heads; but the punishment for their (U)iniquity rested on their bones, though the terror of these mighty ones was once in the land of the living. 28 But as for you, in the midst of the uncircumcised you will be broken and lie with those slain by the sword.
29 “There also is (V)Edom, its kings, and all its [f]princes, who [g]for all their might are put with those slain by the sword; they will lie with the uncircumcised and with those who go down to the pit.
30 “There also are the [h]chiefs of the (W)north, all of them, and all the (X)Sidonians, who in spite of the terror resulting from their might, in shame went down with the slain. So they lay down uncircumcised with those slain by the sword and bore their dishonor with those who go down to the pit.
31 “These Pharaoh will see, and he will be (Y)comforted for all his multitude slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his military force,” declares Lord Yahweh. 32 “Though I put a terror of him in the land of the living, yet he will be made to lie down among the uncircumcised along with those slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his hordes,” declares Lord Yahweh.

Egypt in Sheol
17 In the twelfth year,[a] on the fifteenth day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me: 18 “Son of man, wail over the hordes of Egypt and bring Egypt and the daughters of mighty nations down to the underworld,[b] to be with those who descend to the Pit:(A)
19 Who do you surpass in loveliness?
Go down and be laid to rest with the uncircumcised!
20 They will fall among those slain by the sword.
A sword is appointed!(B)
They drag her and all her hordes away.
21 Warrior leaders will speak
from the middle of Sheol
about him[c] and his allies:
They have come down;
the uncircumcised lie
slain by the sword.(C)
22 Assyria is there with all her company;
her graves are all around her.
All of them are slain, fallen by the sword.
23 Her graves are set in the deepest regions of the Pit,
and her company is all around her burial place.
All of them are slain, fallen by the sword—
those who once spread terror
in the land of the living.
24 Elam(D) is there
with all her hordes around her grave.
All of them are slain, fallen by the sword—
those who went down to the underworld[d] uncircumcised,
who once spread their terror
in the land of the living.
They bear their disgrace
with those who descend to the Pit.
25 Among the slain
they prepare a resting place for Elam
with all her hordes.
Her graves are all around her.
All of them are uncircumcised,
slain by the sword,
although their terror was once spread
in the land of the living.
They bear their disgrace
with those who descend to the Pit.
They are placed among the slain.
26 Meshech and Tubal[e](E) are there,
with all their hordes.
Their graves are all around them.
All of them are uncircumcised, slain by the sword,
although their terror was once spread
in the land of the living.
27 They do not lie down
with the fallen warriors of the uncircumcised,[f]
who went down to Sheol
with their weapons of war,
whose swords were placed under their heads.[g]
The punishment for their sins
rested on their bones,
although the terror of these warriors
was once in the land of the living.
28 But you will be shattered
and will lie down among the uncircumcised,
with those slain by the sword.(F)
29 Edom(G) is there, her kings and all her princes,
who, despite their strength, have been placed
among those slain by the sword.
They lie down with the uncircumcised,
with those who descend to the Pit.
30 All the leaders of the north(H)
and all the Sidonians(I) are there.
They went down in shame with the slain,
despite the terror their strength inspired.
They lie down uncircumcised
with those slain by the sword.
They bear their disgrace
with those who descend to the Pit.
31 Pharaoh will see them
and be comforted(J) over all his hordes—
Pharaoh and all his army,
slain by the sword.
This is the declaration of the Lord God.
32 For I will spread My[h] terror
in the land of the living,
so Pharaoh and all his hordes
will be laid to rest among the uncircumcised,
with those slain by the sword.”
