Ezekiel 30:4-9
English Standard Version
4 (A)A sword shall come upon Egypt,
(B)and anguish shall be in (C)Cush,
when the slain fall in Egypt,
and (D)her wealth[a] is carried away,
and (E)her foundations are torn down.
5 (F)Cush, and (G)Put, and Lud, and (H)all Arabia, and Libya,[b] and the people of the land that is in league,[c] shall fall with them by the sword.
6 “Thus says the Lord:
(I)Those who support Egypt shall fall,
and (J)her proud might shall come down;
(K)from Migdol to Syene
they shall fall within her by the sword,
declares the Lord God.
7 (L)And they shall be desolated in the midst of desolated countries,
and their cities shall be in the midst of cities that are laid waste.
8 (M)Then they will know that I am the Lord,
when (N)I have set fire to Egypt,
and (O)all her helpers are broken.
9 “On that day (P)messengers shall go out from me in ships to terrify the unsuspecting (Q)people of Cush, and (R)anguish shall come upon them on the day of Egypt's doom;[d] for, behold, it comes!
