“Now you, son of man, listen to what I am speaking to you; do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth wide and (A)eat what I am giving you.” Then I looked, and behold, a (B)hand was extended to me; and behold, a [a](C)scroll was in it. 10 When He spread it out before me, it was written on the front and back, and written on it were songs of mourning, sighing, and (D)woe.

Ezekiel’s Commission

Then He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find; (E)eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.” So I (F)opened my mouth, and He fed me this scroll. And He said to me, “Son of man, feed your stomach and (G)fill your [b]body with this scroll which I am giving you.” Then I (H)ate it, and it was as sweet as (I)honey in my mouth.

The Responsibility of the Prophet

Moreover He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find; (D)eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.” So I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat that scroll.

And He said to me, “Son of man, feed your belly, and fill your stomach with this scroll that I give you.” So I (E)ate, and it was in my mouth (F)like honey in sweetness.
