Ezekiel 29:6-8

6 Then all the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am the Lord,
Because they have been only a (A)staff made of reed to the house of Israel.
7 When they took hold of you with the hand,
You (B)broke and tore all their [a]hands;
And when they leaned on you,
You broke and made all their hips [b]shake.”
8 ‘Therefore the Lord God says this: “Behold, I am going to (C)bring upon you a sword, and I will cut off from you human and animal life.

6 And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am Jehovah, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel. 7 When they took hold of thee [a]by thy hand, thou didst break, and didst rend all their shoulders; and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to [b]be at a stand.
8 Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and will cut off from thee man and beast.
