Ezekiel 29:6-8

6 Then all the inhabitants of Egypt
will know that I am Yahweh,
for they[a] have been a staff made of reed
to the house of Israel.
7 When Israel grasped you by the hand,
you splintered,(A) tearing all their shoulders;
when they leaned on you,
you shattered and made all their hips unsteady.[b]
8 “Therefore this is what the Lord God says: I am going to bring a sword(B) against you and wipe out man and animal from you.

International Standard Version
6 ‘Then everyone living in Egypt
will know that I am the Lord,
because they have been an unreliable ally[a]
to the house of Israel.
7 When they reached out to you for support,
you tore their hands
and dislocated all of their shoulders.
When they tried to lean on you,
they couldn’t control their own bowels.’[b]
8 “Therefore this is what the Lord God says: ‘Look out! I’m bringing violent death[c] in your direction! I’m going to kill every person and animal,
