A Prophecy Against Egypt
Judgment on Pharaoh
29 In the tenth year, in the tenth month on the twelfth day, the word of the Lord came to me:(A) 2 “Son of man, set your face against(B) Pharaoh king of Egypt(C) and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.(D) 3 Speak to him and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘I am against you, Pharaoh(E) king of Egypt,
you great monster(F) lying among your streams.
You say, “The Nile(G) belongs to me;
I made it for myself.”
4 But I will put hooks(H) in your jaws
and make the fish of your streams stick to your scales.
I will pull you out from among your streams,
with all the fish sticking to your scales.(I)
5 I will leave you in the desert,
you and all the fish of your streams.
You will fall on the open field
and not be gathered(J) or picked up.
I will give you as food
to the beasts of the earth and the birds of the sky.(K)
6 Then all who live in Egypt will know that I am the Lord.
“‘You have been a staff of reed(L) for the people of Israel. 7 When they grasped you with their hands, you splintered(M) and you tore open their shoulders; when they leaned on you, you broke and their backs were wrenched.[a](N)
8 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will bring a sword against you and kill both man and beast.(O) 9 Egypt will become a desolate wasteland. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
“‘Because you said, “The Nile(P) is mine; I made it,(Q)” 10 therefore I am against you(R) and against your streams, and I will make the land of Egypt(S) a ruin and a desolate waste(T) from Migdol(U) to Aswan,(V) as far as the border of Cush.[b](W) 11 The foot of neither man nor beast will pass through it; no one will live there for forty years.(X) 12 I will make the land of Egypt desolate(Y) among devastated lands, and her cities will lie desolate forty years among ruined cities. And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries.(Z)
13 “‘Yet this is what the Sovereign Lord says: At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the nations where they were scattered. 14 I will bring them back from captivity and return them to Upper Egypt,(AA) the land of their ancestry. There they will be a lowly(AB) kingdom.(AC) 15 It will be the lowliest of kingdoms and will never again exalt itself above the other nations.(AD) I will make it so weak that it will never again rule over the nations. 16 Egypt will no longer be a source of confidence(AE) for the people of Israel but will be a reminder(AF) of their sin in turning to her for help.(AG) Then they will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.(AH)’”
Nebuchadnezzar’s Reward
17 In the twenty-seventh year, in the first month on the first day, the word of the Lord came to me:(AI) 18 “Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar(AJ) king of Babylon drove his army in a hard campaign against Tyre; every head was rubbed bare(AK) and every shoulder made raw.(AL) Yet he and his army got no reward from the campaign he led against Tyre. 19 Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to give Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king(AM) of Babylon, and he will carry off its wealth. He will loot and plunder(AN) the land as pay for his army.(AO) 20 I have given him Egypt(AP) as a reward for his efforts because he and his army did it for me, declares the Sovereign Lord.(AQ)
21 “On that day I will make a horn[c](AR) grow for the Israelites, and I will open your mouth(AS) among them. Then they will know that I am the Lord.(AT)”

4 但我耶和华必用钩子钩住你的腮颊，
使你河中的鱼都紧贴着你的鳞甲，
我必把你和你河中所有紧贴着你的鳞甲的鱼，
都从你河中拉上来。
5 我必把你和你河中所有的鱼，都丢在旷野；
你必倒在田间，无人收殓，无人埋葬。
我已经把你给了地上的走兽和空中的飞鸟作食物。
6 埃及所有的居民就都知道我是耶和华。
因为你作了以色列家芦苇的杖。
7 他们用手抓住你的时候，
你就断裂，伤了他们的肩头；
他们倚靠你，
你就折断、扭伤了他们的腰。
8 因此，主耶和华这样说：看哪！我必使刀剑攻击你，把人和牲畜都从你那里剪除。 9 埃及地必荒凉废弃，人就知道我是耶和华。
“‘因为法老曾说：“这河是我的，是我自己做的。” 10 所以我必与你和你的河为敌；我必使埃及地，从密夺到色弗尼，直到古实边界，都全然荒凉废弃。 11 人的脚必不经过那里，兽的蹄也不经过那里；四十年之久，无人居住。 12 我必使埃及成为荒地中的荒地，四十年之久，它的城必成为废城中的废城。我必把埃及人分散到列邦，四散在各地。
13 “‘主耶和华这样说：满了四十年，我必把埃及人从他们所分散到的万族中招聚回来。 14 我必使埃及被掳的人归回，使他们归回自己根源之地巴忒罗，在那里他们必成为低微的国。 15 这国必成为列国中最低微的，也必不能再攀到列国之上；我必使他们弱小，以致他们不能再管辖列国。 16 埃及必不再作以色列家的倚靠；每逢以色列家转去仰赖埃及人的时候，他们就想起自己的罪孽。这样，他们就知道我是主耶和华。’”
17 二十七年正月初一日，耶和华的话临到我说： 18 “人子啊！巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒使他的军兵千辛万苦攻打推罗，以致各人都头秃肩破；但是他和他的军兵攻打推罗所付出的辛劳，并没有从那里得到甚么报酬。 19 因此，主耶和华这样说：看哪！我必把埃及地赐给巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒，他把埃及的财富带走，抢其中的财为掳物，夺其中的货为掠物，作他军兵的报酬。 20 我把埃及地赐给他，作辛劳的报酬，因为他们都是为我效力的。这是主耶和华的宣告。 21 到了那天，我必使以色列家的角生出来，我也必使你以西结在他们中间开口。他们就知道我是耶和华。”

29 (A)Ní ọjọ́ kejìlá, oṣù kẹwàá, ọdún kẹwàá, ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tọ̀ mí wá wí pé: 2 “Ọmọ ènìyàn, kọjú sí Farao ọba Ejibiti kí ó sì sọ àsọtẹ́lẹ̀ sí i àti sí gbogbo Ejibiti. 3 Sọ̀rọ̀, kí ó sì wí pé: ‘Báyìí ní Olúwa Olódùmarè wí:
“ ‘Èmi lòdì sí ọ, Farao ọba Ejibiti
ìwọ ẹ̀mí búburú ńlá inú Òkun tí ó dùbúlẹ̀ sí
àárín àwọn odò ṣíṣàn rẹ
èyí tí ó sọ wí pé, “Tèmi ni odò Naili;
èmi ni ó sì ṣe é fún ara mi.”
4 Ṣùgbọ́n èmi yóò fi ìwọ̀ mú ẹnu rẹ
èmi yóò sì mú ẹja inú odò rẹ
gbogbo lẹ̀ mọ́ ìpẹ́ ara rẹ.
Èmi yóò fà ọ́ síta kúrò láàrín àwọn odò rẹ,
àti gbogbo ẹja odò rẹ yóò lẹ̀ mọ́ ìpẹ́ ara rẹ.
5 Èmi yóò sọ ọ́ nù sí aginjù
ìwọ àti gbogbo ẹja inú odò rẹ:
ìwọ yóò ṣubú sí gbangba oko
a kì yóò sì ṣà ọ́ jọ tàbí gbé ọ sókè.
Èmi ti fi ọ ṣe oúnjẹ fún àwọn ẹranko igbó
àti fún àwọn ẹyẹ ojú ọ̀run láti jẹ.
6 Nígbà náà gbogbo àwọn olùgbé ni Ejibiti yóò mọ pé Èmi ni Olúwa.
“ ‘Ìwọ ti jẹ́ ọ̀pá ìyè fún ilé Israẹli. 7 Nígbà tí wọn fi ọwọ́ agbára wọn dì ọ́ mú. Ìwọ fọ́, ìwọ sì ya gbogbo èjìká wọn; nígbà tí wọn fi ara tì ọ́, ìwọ sẹ́, ìwọ sì mú gbogbo ẹ̀gbẹ́ wọn gbọ̀n.
8 “ ‘Nítorí náà, èyí yìí ní Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: kéyèsi Èmi yóò mú idà kan wá sórí rẹ tí yóò sì gé ènìyàn àti ẹran kúrò nínú rẹ. 9 Ilẹ̀ Ejibiti yóò di aginjù àti ahoro, nígbà náà ní wọn yóò sì mọ̀ wí pé èmi ní Olúwa.

13 “ ‘Ṣùgbọ́n báyìí ní Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Ní òpin ogójì ọdún, èmi yóò ṣa àwọn ará Ejibiti jọ láti ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn ènìyàn níbi tí a fọ́n wọn ká sí. 14 Èmi yóò sì tún mú ìgbèkùn Ejibiti padà bọ̀, èmi yóò sì dá wọn padà sí ilẹ̀ Paturosi, ilẹ̀ àwọn baba ńlá wọn. Wọn yóò wà níbẹ̀ bí ìjọba tí a rẹ̀ sílẹ̀. 15 Ibẹ̀ yóò jẹ́ ìjọba tí ó rẹlẹ̀ jùlọ nínú àwọn ìjọba, kì yóò sì gbé ara rẹ̀ ga mọ́ sórí àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè: nítorí èmi ni ó dín wọn kù, tiwọn kì yóò fi ṣe olórí àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè yòókù mọ́. 16 Ejibiti kí yóò sì jẹ orísun ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé fún ilé Israẹli mọ́ ṣùgbọ́n, yóò jẹ́ ìrántí fún àìṣedéédéé wọn, nígbà tí yóò bá wò wọ́n fún ìrànlọ́wọ́. 17 Ó sì ṣe ní ọjọ́ kìn-ín-ní, oṣù kìn-ín-ní, ọdún kẹtà-dínlọ́gbọ̀n, ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tọ̀ mí wá wí pé: 18 “Ọmọ ènìyàn, Nebukadnessari ọba Babeli mú kí ogun rẹ sin ìrú ńlá fún Tire. Gbogbo orí pá, àti gbogbo èjìká bó, síbẹ̀, òun àti àwọn ogun rẹ̀, kò rí owó ọ̀yà gbà láti Tire fún wa, fún ìrú ti a ti sìn. 19 Nítorí náà, báyìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Kíyèsi i, Èmi yóò fi Ejibiti fún Nebukadnessari ọba Babeli, òun yóò sì kó ọrọ̀ rẹ̀ lọ.
