Ezekiel 29:9-11
Common English Bible
9 The land of Egypt will be turned into a wasteland and ruins. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
Because you[a] said, “The Nile is mine; I made it,” 10 I’m against you and against the Nile’s canals. I will make the land of Egypt into an utter ruin, a wasteland, from Migdol to Syene and as far as its boundary with Cush. 11 No foot, animal or human, will walk across it, and it won’t be inhabited for forty years.

New International Version
9 Egypt will become a desolate wasteland. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
“‘Because you said, “The Nile(A) is mine; I made it,(B)” 10 therefore I am against you(C) and against your streams, and I will make the land of Egypt(D) a ruin and a desolate waste(E) from Migdol(F) to Aswan,(G) as far as the border of Cush.[a](H) 11 The foot of neither man nor beast will pass through it; no one will live there for forty years.(I)
