Ang Awit sa Pagbangotan alang sa Tyre
27 Miingon ang Ginoo kanako, 2 “Tawo, pag-awit ug usa ka awit sa pagbangotan alang sa Tyre, 3 ang lungsod nga dunggoanan sa mga barko[a] ug sentro sa negosyo sa mga nagpuyo sa mga isla. Ang imo nga palo[b] hinimo gikan sa kahoy nga sedro nga gikan sa Lebanon. 6 Ang imo nga mga bugsay hinimo gikan sa mga kahoy nga terebinto (tugas) nga gikan sa Basan. Ug ang imo nga salog hinimo sa mga kahoy nga gikan sa mga isla sa Kittim, ug gihaklapan kini sa materyales nga gikan sa bangkil sa elepante. 7 Ang imo nga layag binordahan nga linen nga gikan sa Ehipto, ug daw sa bandera kini nga tan-awon. 12 “ ‘Nakignegosyo ang mga taga-Tarshish kanimo kay daghan kag bahandi. Gibayloan nila ang imo nga mga baligya ug plata, puthaw, lata, ug tingga. 13 Nakignegosyo usab kanimo ang taga-Greece,[d] Tubal, ug Meshech. Gibayloan nila ang imo nga mga baligya ug mga ulipon ug mga kagamitan nga hinimo sa bronsi. 14 Ang gibaylo usab sa mga taga-Bet Togarmah sa imo nga mga baligya mga kabayo nga pangtrabaho, mga kabayo nga panggubat, ug mga mula.
15 “ ‘Nakignegosyo usab kanimo ang mga taga-Dedan,[e] ug daghan kag mga suki sa mga isla. Ang ilang gibayad kanimo mga bangkil sa elepante ug kahoy nga ebony.
16 “ ‘Nakignegosyo usab kanimo ang mga taga-Aram tungod sa imo nga daghang mga produkto. Ang ilang gibaylo sa imo nga mga baligya mga emerald, mga panapton nga kolor ube, mga binordahang panapton, mahalon nga linen, koral, ug mga rubi.
17 “ ‘Nakignegosyo usab kanimo ang mga taga-Judah ug Israel. Gibayloan nila ang imo nga mga baligya ug mga igos,[f] dugos, lana, haplas, ug trigo nga gikan sa Minnith.
18 “ ‘Nakignegosyo usab kanimo ang mga taga-Damascus tungod sa kadaghan sa imo nga mga bahandi ug mga produkto. Ang ilang gibaylo sa imo nga baligya mga bino nga gikan sa Helbon ug delana nga gikan sa Sahar. 19 Ang mga taga-Dan ug taga-Javan nga gikan sa Uzal nakignegosyo usab kanimo. Gibayloan nila ang imo nga mga baligya ug mga puthaw ug mga panakot nga cassia ug calamus.
20 “ ‘Ang gibaylo sa mga taga-Dedan sa imo nga mga baligya mga panapton nga panghapin sa buko-buko sa mananap aron lingkoran.
21 “ ‘Nakignegosyo usab kanimo ang mga taga-Arabia ug ang tanang pangulo sa Kedar. Ang ilang gibaylo sa imo nga mga baligya mga karnero ug mga kanding.
22 “ ‘Nakignegosyo usab kanimo ang mga negosyante sa Sheba ug Raama. Ang ilang gibaylo sa imo nga mga baligya mao ang tanang klase sa maayo nga mga panakot, mahalong mga bato, ug bulawan.
23 “ ‘Nakignegosyo usab kanimo ang mga taga-Haran, Cane, Eden, ug ang mga negosyante sa Sheba, Ashur, ug Kilmad. 24 Ang ilang gibaylo sa imo nga mga baligya mga mahalong bisti, mga panapton nga kolor asul, mga binordahang panapton, ug lain-laing kolor sa carpet nga giparibitihan ug maayo ang pagkatahi.
25 “ ‘Ang mga barko sa Tarshish mao ang tigkarga sa imo nga mga baligya. Nahisama ka sa usa ka barko nga puno sa mga kargamento samtang nagalawig sa kadagatan. 26 Apan dad-on ka sa imo nga mga tigbugsay ngadto sa lawod, ug bungkagon ka sa makusog nga hangin nga gikan sa sidlakan. 27 Ang tanang anaa kanimo mangalunod: ang imo nga bahandi, mga baligya, mga tripulante, mga marinero, mga panday, mga negosyante, ug ang tanan mo nga mga sundalo. 28 “ ‘Mangurog sa kalisang ang mga nagapuyo duol sa dagat inigkadungog nila sa singgit sa mga tripulante nga nagakalunod. 29 Biyaan sa mga tigbugsay ang ilang mga sakayan ug manindog sila sa baybayon uban sa mga marinero ug mga tripulante, 30 ug magminatay silag hilak tungod sa nahitabo kanimo. Sabwagan nilag abog ang ilang mga ulo ug moligid sila sa abo sa pagpakita sa ilang pagsubo. 31 Magpa-upaw ug magbistig sako samtang magdangoyngoy sila sa kasubo. 32 Sa ilang pagsubo magaawit sila niini nga awit sa pagbangotan: O Tyre, walay nalunod sa lawod sama sa imo nga pagkalunod! 33 Naglawig ka dala ang imo nga mga baligya, ug nakatabang kini sa panginahanglan sa daghang mga nasod. Nangadato ang mga hari sa kalibotan tungod sa imo nga bahandi ug mga baligya. 34 Apan karon nabungkag ka na ug uban kanimo nga nalunod ilalom sa dagat ang imo nga mga baligya ug ang tanan mo nga mga tripulante. 35 Ang tanang nagapuyo sa mga isla nalisang gyud sa imo nga gidangatan. Ang ilang mga hari nangalisang, ug makita gyud kini sa ilang mga panagway. 36 Nagpanglingo ang mga negosyante sa kanasoran sa imo nga gidangatan. Makalilisang ang imo nga kataposan, ug mahanaw ka na sa hingpit.’ ”

A Lament Over Tyre
27 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, take up a lament(A) concerning Tyre. 3 Say to Tyre,(B) situated at the gateway to the sea,(C) merchant of peoples on many coasts, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘You say, Tyre,
“I am perfect in beauty.(D)”
4 Your domain was on the high seas;
your builders brought your beauty to perfection.(E)
5 They made all your timbers
of juniper from Senir[a];(F)
they took a cedar from Lebanon(G)
to make a mast for you.
6 Of oaks(H) from Bashan
they made your oars;
of cypress wood[b] from the coasts of Cyprus(I)
they made your deck, adorned with ivory.
7 Fine embroidered linen(J) from Egypt was your sail
and served as your banner;
your awnings were of blue and purple(K)
from the coasts of Elishah.(L)
8 Men of Sidon and Arvad(M) were your oarsmen;
your skilled men, Tyre, were aboard as your sailors.(N)
9 Veteran craftsmen of Byblos(O) were on board
as shipwrights to caulk your seams.
All the ships of the sea(P) and their sailors
came alongside to trade for your wares.
10 “‘Men of Persia,(Q) Lydia(R) and Put(S)
served as soldiers in your army.
They hung their shields(T) and helmets on your walls,
bringing you splendor.
11 Men of Arvad and Helek
guarded your walls on every side;
men of Gammad
were in your towers.
They hung their shields around your walls;
they brought your beauty to perfection.(U)
12 “‘Tarshish(V) did business with you because of your great wealth of goods;(W) they exchanged silver, iron, tin and lead for your merchandise.
13 “‘Greece,(X) Tubal and Meshek(Y) did business with you; they traded human beings(Z) and articles of bronze for your wares.
14 “‘Men of Beth Togarmah(AA) exchanged chariot horses, cavalry horses and mules for your merchandise.
15 “‘The men of Rhodes[c](AB) traded with you, and many coastlands(AC) were your customers; they paid you with ivory(AD) tusks and ebony.
16 “‘Aram[d](AE) did business with you because of your many products; they exchanged turquoise,(AF) purple fabric, embroidered work, fine linen,(AG) coral(AH) and rubies for your merchandise.
17 “‘Judah and Israel traded with you; they exchanged wheat(AI) from Minnith(AJ) and confections,[e] honey, olive oil and balm(AK) for your wares.(AL)
18 “‘Damascus(AM) did business with you because of your many products and great wealth of goods.(AN) They offered wine from Helbon, wool from Zahar 19 and casks of wine from Izal(AO) in exchange for your wares: wrought iron, cassia(AP) and calamus.
20 “‘Dedan(AQ) traded in saddle blankets with you.
21 “‘Arabia(AR) and all the princes of Kedar(AS) were your customers; they did business with you in lambs, rams and goats.
22 “‘The merchants of Sheba(AT) and Raamah traded with you; for your merchandise they exchanged the finest of all kinds of spices(AU) and precious stones, and gold.(AV)
23 “‘Harran,(AW) Kanneh and Eden(AX) and merchants of Sheba, Ashur(AY) and Kilmad traded with you. 24 In your marketplace they traded with you beautiful garments, blue fabric, embroidered work and multicolored rugs with cords twisted and tightly knotted.
25 “‘The ships of Tarshish(AZ) serve
as carriers for your wares.
You are filled with heavy cargo
as you sail the sea.(BA)
26 Your oarsmen take you
out to the high seas.
But the east wind(BB) will break you to pieces
far out at sea.
27 Your wealth,(BC) merchandise and wares,
your mariners, sailors and shipwrights,
your merchants and all your soldiers,
and everyone else on board
will sink into the heart of the sea(BD)
on the day of your shipwreck.
28 The shorelands will quake(BE)
when your sailors cry out.
29 All who handle the oars
will abandon their ships;
the mariners and all the sailors
will stand on the shore.
30 They will raise their voice
and cry bitterly over you;
they will sprinkle dust(BF) on their heads
and roll(BG) in ashes.(BH)
31 They will shave their heads(BI) because of you
and will put on sackcloth.
They will weep(BJ) over you with anguish of soul
and with bitter mourning.(BK)
32 As they wail and mourn over you,
they will take up a lament(BL) concerning you:
“Who was ever silenced like Tyre,
surrounded by the sea?(BM)”
33 When your merchandise went out on the seas,(BN)
you satisfied many nations;
with your great wealth(BO) and your wares
you enriched the kings of the earth.
34 Now you are shattered by the sea
in the depths of the waters;
your wares and all your company
have gone down with you.(BP)
35 All who live in the coastlands(BQ)
are appalled(BR) at you;
their kings shudder with horror
and their faces are distorted with fear.(BS)
36 The merchants among the nations scoff at you;(BT)
you have come to a horrible end
and will be no more.(BU)’”

2 Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;
3 And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord God; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.
4 Thy borders are in the midst of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.
5 They have made all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir: they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.
6 Of the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; the company of the Ashurites have made thy benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim.
7 Fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was that which thou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was that which covered thee.
8 The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy mariners: thy wise men, O Tyrus, that were in thee, were thy pilots.
9 The ancients of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to occupy thy merchandise.
10 They of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee; they set forth thy comeliness.
11 The men of Arvad with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have made thy beauty perfect.
12 Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs.
13 Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were thy merchants: they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass in thy market.
14 They of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules.
15 The men of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles were the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory and ebony.
16 Syria was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they occupied in thy fairs with emeralds, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and agate.
17 Judah, and the land of Israel, they were thy merchants: they traded in thy market wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm.
18 Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Helbon, and white wool.
19 Dan also and Javan going to and fro occupied in thy fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in thy market.
20 Dedan was thy merchant in precious clothes for chariots.
21 Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with thee in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these were they thy merchants.

26 Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind hath broken thee in the midst of the seas.

28 The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of thy pilots.

30 And shall cause their voice to be heard against thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads, they shall wallow themselves in the ashes:
31 And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee with bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.
32 And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?
33 When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou filledst many people; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise.
34 In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters thy merchandise and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall.
35 All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance.
36 The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt be any more.

6 Of (F)oaks from Bashan they made your oars;

With ivory from (G)the coasts of [c]Cyprus.
7 Fine embroidered linen from Egypt was what you spread for your sail;
Blue and purple from the coasts of Elishah was what covered you.
8 “Inhabitants of Sidon and Arvad were your oarsmen;
Your wise men, O Tyre, were in you;
They became your pilots.

Were in you to caulk your seams;

To market your merchandise.

They hung shield and helmet in you;

12 (J)“Tarshish was your merchant because of your many luxury goods. They gave you silver, iron, tin, and lead for your goods. 13 (K)Javan, Tubal, and Meshech were your traders. They bartered (L)human lives and vessels of bronze for your merchandise. 14 Those from the house of (M)Togarmah traded for your wares with horses, steeds, and mules. 15 The men of (N)Dedan were your traders; many isles were the market of your hand. They brought you ivory tusks and ebony as payment. 16 Syria was your merchant because of the abundance of goods you made. They gave you for your wares emeralds, purple, embroidery, fine linen, corals, and rubies. 17 Judah and the land of Israel were your traders. They traded for your merchandise wheat of (O)Minnith, millet, honey, oil, and (P)balm. 18 Damascus was your merchant because of the abundance of goods you made, because of your many luxury items, with the wine of Helbon and with white wool. 19 Dan and Javan paid for your wares, [f]traversing back and forth. Wrought iron, cassia, and cane were among your merchandise. 20 (Q)Dedan was your merchant in saddlecloths for riding. 21 Arabia and all the princes of (R)Kedar were your regular merchants. They traded with you in lambs, rams, and goats. 22 The merchants of (S)Sheba and Raamah were your merchants. They traded for your wares the choicest spices, all kinds of precious stones, and gold. 23 (T)Haran, Canneh, Eden, the merchants of (U)Sheba, Assyria, and Chilmad were your merchants. 24 These were your merchants in choice items—in purple clothes, in embroidered garments, in chests of multicolored apparel, in sturdy woven cords, which were in your marketplace.
25 “The (V)ships of Tarshish were carriers of your merchandise.
You were filled and very glorious (W)in the midst of the seas.
26 Your oarsmen brought you into many waters,
But (X)the east wind broke you in the midst of the seas.
27 “Your (Y)riches, wares, and merchandise,
Your mariners and pilots,
Your caulkers and merchandisers,
All your men of war who are in you,
And the entire company which is in your midst,
Will fall into the midst of the seas on the day of your ruin.
28 The (Z)common-land[g] will shake at the sound of the cry of your pilots.
29 “All (AA)who handle the oar,
The mariners,
All the pilots of the sea
Will come down from their ships and stand on the [h]shore.
30 They will make their voice heard because of you;
They will cry bitterly and (AB)cast dust on their heads;
They (AC)will roll about in ashes;
31 They will (AD)shave themselves completely bald because of you,
Gird themselves with sackcloth,
And weep for you
With bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.
32 In their wailing for you

Destroyed in the midst of the sea?
33 ‘When(AG) your wares went out by sea,
You satisfied many people;

(AI)Your merchandise and the entire company will fall in your midst.

Many coastlands were your own special markets; they brought you in payment ivory tusks and ebony. 16 Syria (AF)did business with you because of your abundant goods; they exchanged for your wares (AG)emeralds, (AH)purple, (AI)embroidered work, (AJ)fine linen, coral, and (AK)ruby. 17 Judah and the land of Israel traded with you; they exchanged for your merchandise (AL)wheat of (AM)Minnith, meal,[b] honey, oil, and (AN)balm. 18 (AO)Damascus did business with you for your abundant goods, because of your great wealth of every kind; wine of Helbon and (AP)wool of Sahar 19 and casks of wine[c] from Uzal they exchanged for your wares; wrought iron, (AQ)cassia, and (AR)calamus were bartered for your merchandise. 20 Dedan traded with you in saddlecloths for riding. 21 Arabia and all the princes of (AS)Kedar were your favored dealers (AT)in lambs, rams, and goats; in these they did business with you. 22 The traders of (AU)Sheba and (AV)Raamah traded with you; they exchanged (AW)for your wares (AX)the best of all kinds of spices and all precious stones and gold. 23 (AY)Haran, Canneh, (AZ)Eden, traders of Sheba, (BA)Asshur, and Chilmad traded with you. 24 In your market these traded with you in choice garments, in clothes of (BB)blue and (BC)embroidered work, and in carpets of colored material, bound with cords and made secure. 25 (BD)The ships of (BE)Tarshish traveled for you with your merchandise. So you were filled and heavily laden (BF)in the heart of the seas.
26 “Your rowers have brought you out
into the high seas.
(BG)The east wind has wrecked you
in the heart of the seas.
27 Your riches, your wares, your merchandise,
your mariners and (BH)your pilots,
(BI)your caulkers, your dealers in merchandise,
and all your men of war who are in you,
with all your crew
that is in your midst,
sink into the heart of the seas
(BJ)on the day of your fall.
28 At the sound of the cry of your pilots
(BK)the countryside shakes,
29 and down from their ships
(BL)come all who handle the oar.
The mariners and all the pilots of the sea
stand on the land
30 (BM)and shout aloud over you
and cry out bitterly.
(BN)They cast dust on their heads
(BO)and wallow in ashes;
31 they (BP)make themselves bald for you
and put sackcloth on their waist,
and they weep over you in bitterness of soul,
with bitter mourning.
32 In their wailing they (BQ)raise a lamentation for you
and lament over you:
(BR)‘Who is like Tyre,
like one destroyed in the midst of the sea?
33 When your wares came from the seas,
(BS)you satisfied many peoples;
with your abundant wealth and merchandise
(BT)you enriched the kings of the earth.
34 Now (BU)you are wrecked by the seas,
in the depths of the waters;
your merchandise and all your crew in your midst
have sunk with you.
35 (BV)All the inhabitants of the coastlands
are appalled at you,
and (BW)the hair of their kings bristles with horror;
their faces are convulsed.
36 (BX)The merchants among the peoples (BY)hiss at you;
(BZ)you have come to a dreadful end
and shall be no more forever.’”
