›Was auf der Welt konnte man mit Tyrus vergleichen,
dieser Stadt, die nun totenstill im Meer ruht?
33 Als deine Kaufleute über die Ozeane segelten,
haben sie vielen Völkern Schätze gebracht.
Deine Waren ließen Könige aus allen Winkeln der Erde
zu großem Reichtum gelangen.
34 Jetzt aber bist du zerbrochen
und in den Tiefen des Meeres versunken.
Deine Güter und dein ganzer Reichtum –
nichts ist mehr davon zu sehen!
