15 Thus says Lord Yahweh to Tyre, “Shall not the (A)coastlands (B)shake at the sound of your downfall when the wounded groan, when the killing occurs in your midst? 16 Then all the princes of the sea will (C)go down from their thrones, remove their robes, and strip off their embroidered garments. They will (D)clothe themselves with [a]trembling; they will sit on the ground, (E)tremble every moment, and be appalled at you. 17 They will take up a (F)lamentation over you and say to you,

(G)How you have perished, O inhabited one,
From the seas, O city that was praised,
Which was (H)strong on the sea,
She and her inhabitants,
Who [b]imposed [c]her terror
On all her inhabitants!
18 Now the (I)coastlands will tremble
On the day of your downfall;
Yes, the coastlands which are by the sea
Will be dismayed at your (J)departure.’”

They shall clothe themselves with trembling and shall sit on the ground; they shall tremble every moment and be appalled at you.(B) 17 And they shall raise a lamentation over you and say to you:

“How you have vanished[a] from the seas,
    O city renowned,
