Prophecy Against Moab and Seir

⁸ “Thus says the Lord God: Because ^(A)Moab and ^(B)Seir^[a] said, ‘Behold, the ^(C)house of Judah is like all the other nations’,

^29 (A)“Edom is ^(B)there, her kings and all her princes, who for all their might are laid with those who are killed by the sword; they lie with the uncircumcised, with those who go down to the pit.

^2 (A)“Son of man, ^(B)set your face ^(C)against ^(D)Mount Seir, and prophesy against it,

⁵ Because ^(A)you cherished perpetual enmity and gave over the people of Israel to the power of the sword ^(B)at the time of their calamity, ^(C)at the time of their final punishment,

¹⁷ For the Edomites had again invaded and defeated Judah and carried away captives.
