¹³ therefore thus says the Lord God, ^(A)I will stretch out my hand against Edom and cut off from it man and beast. And I will make it desolate; from ^(B)Teman even to ^(C)Dedan they shall fall by the sword.

³ but Esau I have hated. ^(A)I have laid waste his hill country and left his heritage to jackals of the desert.” ⁴ If Edom says, “We are shattered but we will rebuild the ruins,” the Lord of hosts says, “They may build, but I will tear down, and they will be called ‘the wicked country,’ and ‘the people with whom the Lord is angry forever.’”

⁸ Therefore thus says the Lord God: ^(A)Behold, I will bring a sword upon you, and will cut off from you man and beast,

^23 (A)Dedan, ^(B)Tema, ^(C)Buz, and all who cut ^(D)the corners of their hair;

Judgment on Edom

⁷ Concerning ^(A)Edom.

Thus says the Lord of hosts:

¹⁶ therefore thus says the Lord God, ^(A)Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off ^(B)the Cherethites and destroy the rest of the seacoast.
