40 For on my holy mountain, Israel’s high mountain—the declaration of the Lord God—there the entire house of Israel, all of them,(A) will serve me in the land. There I will accept them and will require your contributions and choicest gifts,(B) all your holy offerings. 41 When I bring you from the peoples and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered, I will accept you as a pleasing aroma. And I will demonstrate my holiness through you in the sight of the nations.(C) 42 When I lead you into the land of Israel, the land I swore to give your ancestors, you will know that I am the Lord.(D) 43 There you will remember your ways and all your deeds by which you have defiled yourself,(E) and you will loathe yourselves for all the evil things you have done.(F) 44 You will know that I am the Lord,(G) house of Israel, when I have dealt with you for the sake of my name(H) rather than according to your evil ways and corrupt acts. This is the declaration of the Lord God.’”

I will take pleasure in them, and there I will accept your contributions and the best of your portions with all of your holy objects. 41 I will accept you as a fragrant incense offering[d] when I bring you out from the peoples and I gather you from the lands to which you were scattered, and I will show myself holy among you before the eyes of the nations. 42 And you will know that I am Yahweh when I bring you to the land of Israel, to the land that I swore[e] to give to your ancestors. 43 And you will remember there your ways, and all of your deeds by which you were made unclean,[f] and you will feel a loathing for yourself[g] for all of your evils that you have done. 44 And you will know that I am Yahweh when I deal with you[h] for the sake of my name and not according to your evil ways[i] or according to[j] your corrupted deeds, house of Israel,” declares[k] the Lord Yahweh.
