Yahweh Judges His People

33 “As I live,” declares Lord Yahweh, “surely with a strong hand and with an (A)outstretched arm and with wrath poured out, I shall be (B)king over you. 34 And I will (C)bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands where you are scattered, with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm and with (D)wrath poured out; 35 and I will bring you into the (E)wilderness of the peoples, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face. 36 As I (F)entered into judgment with your fathers in the (G)wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you,” declares Lord Yahweh. 37 “And I will make you (H)pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; 38 and I will (I)purge from you the rebels and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the land where they sojourn, but they will (J)not enter the [a]land of Israel. Thus you will know that I am Yahweh.

39 “As for you, O house of Israel,” thus says Lord Yahweh, “(K)Go, serve everyone his idols; [b]but after this you will surely listen to Me, and My holy name you will (L)profane no longer with your gifts and with your idols.

God Will Restore Israel to Her Land

33 “As I live,” declares the Lord God, “with a mighty hand and with an (A)outstretched arm and with wrath poured out, I assuredly shall be (B)king over you. 34 I will (C)bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands where you are scattered, with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with (D)wrath poured out; 35 and I will bring you into the (E)wilderness of the peoples, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face. 36 Just as I (F)entered into judgment with your fathers in the (G)wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you,” declares the Lord God. 37 “I will make you (H)pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; 38 and I will (I)purge from you the rebels and those who revolt against Me; I will bring them out of the land where they reside, but they will (J)not enter the [a]land of Israel. So you will know that I am the Lord.

39 “As for you, house of Israel,” this is what the Lord God says: “(K)Go, serve, everyone of you his idols; [b]but later you will certainly listen to Me, and My holy name you will no longer (L)defile with your gifts and your idols.
