¹¹ So ^(A)I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest.’ ”

^3 (A)He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver;
He will purify the sons of Levi,
And ^[a]purge them as gold and silver,
That they may ^(B)offer to the Lord
An offering in righteousness.

⁸ And it shall come to pass in all the land,”
Says the Lord,
“That ^(A)two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die,
^(B)But one-third shall be left in it:
⁹ I will bring the one-third ^(C)through the fire,
Will ^(D)refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested.
^(E)They will call on My name,
And I will answer them.
^(F)I will say, ‘This is My people’;
And each one will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ ”

4 “For behold, ^(A)the day is coming,
Burning like an oven,
And all ^(B)the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be ^(C)stubble.
And the day which is coming shall burn them up,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“That will ^(D)leave them neither root nor branch.
² But to you who ^(E)fear My name
The ^(F)Sun of Righteousness shall arise
With healing in His wings;
And you shall go out
And grow fat like stall-fed calves.
^3 (G)You shall trample the wicked,
For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet
On the day that I do this,”
Says the Lord of hosts.
