Ezekiel 18:4-9

⁴Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: ^(A)the soul who sins shall die.

⁵“If a man is righteous and does ^(B)what is just and right— ⁶if he ^(C)does not eat upon the mountains or ^(D)lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, ^(E)does not defile his neighbor's wife ^(F)or approach ^(G)a woman in her time of menstrual impurity, ⁷^(H)does not oppress anyone, but ^(I)restores to the debtor his pledge, ^(J)commits no robbery, ^(K)gives his bread to the hungry ^(L)and covers the naked with a garment, ⁸^(M)does not lend at interest ^(N)or take any profit,^[a] withholds his hand from injustice, ^(O)executes true justice between man and man, ⁹^(P)walks in my statutes, and keeps my rules by acting faithfully—he is righteous; ^(Q)he shall surely live, declares the Lord God.
