Ezekiel 1:21-28

21 When they moved, the others moved; when they stopped, the others stopped; and when they rose from the earth, the wheels rose along with them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
22 Over the heads of the living creatures there was something like a dome, shining like crystal,[a] spread out above their heads. 23 Under the dome their wings were stretched out straight, one toward another; and each of the creatures had two wings covering its body. 24 When they moved, I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of mighty waters, like the thunder of the Almighty,[b] a sound of tumult like the sound of an army; when they stopped, they let down their wings. 25 And there came a voice from above the dome over their heads; when they stopped, they let down their wings.
26 And above the dome over their heads there was something like a throne, in appearance like sapphire;[c] and seated above the likeness of a throne was something that seemed like a human form. 27 Upward from what appeared like the loins I saw something like gleaming amber, something that looked like fire enclosed all around; and downward from what looked like the loins I saw something that looked like fire, and there was a splendor all around. 28 Like the bow in a cloud on a rainy day, such was the appearance of the splendor all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.
When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of someone speaking.

22 Sopra le teste degli esseri viventi c’era come una volta di un bagliore come di cristallo di ammirevole splendore, e si estendeva su in alto, sopra le loro teste. 23 Sotto la volta le loro ali erano diritte, l’una verso l’altra; ciascuno ne aveva due che coprivano il corpo. 24 Quando camminavano, io sentivo il rumore delle loro ali, come il rumore delle grandi acque, come la voce dell’Onnipotente: un rumore di gran tumulto, come il rumore di un accampamento; quando si fermavano, abbassavano le loro ali; 25 si udiva un rumore che veniva dall’alto, dalla volta che era sopra le loro teste.
26 Al di sopra della volta che era sopra le loro teste, c’era come una pietra di zaffiro, che pareva un trono; e su questa specie di trono appariva come la figura di un uomo, che vi stava seduto sopra, su in alto. 27 Vidi pure come un bagliore di metallo, come del fuoco, che lo circondava tutto intorno, dalla sembianza dei suoi fianchi in su; e dalla sembianza dei suoi fianchi in giù vidi come del fuoco, come uno splendore tutto attorno a lui. 28 Quale è l’aspetto dell’arco che è nella nuvola in un giorno di pioggia, tale era l’aspetto di quello splendore che lo circondava. 21 Wenn jene gingen, so gingen auch sie, und wenn jene stillstanden, standen auch sie still; und wenn jene sich von der Erde erhoben, so erhoben sich auch die Räder vereint mit ihnen; denn der Geist des lebendigen Wesens war in den Rädern.
22 Und über den Häuptern des lebendigen Wesens befand sich etwas, das einer [Himmels-]Ausdehnung[a] glich, wie der Anblick eines Kristalls, ehrfurchterregend, ausgebreitet oben über ihren Häuptern.
23 Und unter der [Himmels-]Ausdehnung waren ihre Flügel ausgestreckt, einer zum anderen hin: Jedes hatte zwei Flügel, womit sie ihre Leiber auf der einen Seite, und zwei, womit sie sie auf der anderen Seite bedeckten.
24 Und ich hörte das Rauschen ihrer Flügel wie das Rauschen großer Wasser und wie die Stimme des Allmächtigen; wenn sie gingen, so gab es ein Geräusch wie das Getümmel eines Heerlagers; wenn sie aber stillstanden, ließen sie ihre Flügel sinken.
25 Und es kam eine Stimme oben von der [Himmels-]Ausdehnung her, die über ihren Häuptern war; wenn sie stillstanden, ließen sie ihre Flügel sinken.
26 Und oberhalb der [Himmels-]Ausdehnung, die über ihren Häuptern war, war das Gebilde eines Thrones, anzusehen wie ein Saphirstein. Oben auf dem Gebilde des Thrones aber saß eine Gestalt, anzusehen wie ein Mensch.
27 Ich sah auch etwas wie Goldschimmer, wie das Aussehen eines Feuers inwendig ringsum; von der Erscheinung seiner Lenden nach oben hin und von der Erscheinung seiner Lenden nach unten hin sah ich wie das Aussehen eines Feuers, und ein Glanz war rings um ihn her.
28 Wie der Bogen aussieht, der an einem Regentag in den Wolken erscheint, so war auch der Glanz ringsum anzusehen. So war das Aussehen der Erscheinung der Herrlichkeit des Herrn. Als ich sie sah, fiel ich auf mein Angesicht; und ich hörte die Stimme von einem, der redete.

21 Quand les êtres vivants s’avançaient, se tenaient arrêtés ou s’élevaient de terre, les roues s’avançaient, se tenaient arrêtées ou s’élevaient de terre en même temps qu’eux, car l’Esprit qui animait les êtres vivants animait aussi les roues.
22 Au-dessus de la tête de ces êtres vivants s’étendait quelque chose qui ressemblait à une étendue céleste et qui avait l’éclat éblouissant du cristal. 23 Sous cette étendue, ils tendaient leurs ailes jusqu’à toucher celles de leurs voisins, et chacun en avait deux qui lui couvraient le corps. 24 Quand ils se déplaçaient, j’entendais le bruit de leurs ailes, un bruit semblable au grondement de grosses eaux ou à la voix du Tout-Puissant, c’était un bruit de grand tumulte comme celui d’un campement guerrier. Quand ils s’arrêtaient, ils abaissaient leurs ailes. 25 Alors une voix retentit au-dessus de l’étendue céleste qui surplombait leur tête. 26 Par-dessus cette étendue apparaissait comme une pierre de saphir qui avait la forme d’un trône, et au-dessus de ce qui ressemblait à un trône, au point le plus élevé, se tenait un être ayant l’aspect d’un homme. 27 Je vis que la partie supérieure de son corps, au-dessus de ce qui ressemblait à sa taille, avait un éclat étincelant et l’aspect du feu tout autour, et la partie inférieure semblait comme baignée de feu et répandait autour d’elle une vive clarté. 28 La clarté qui l’environnait avait l’aspect de l’arc-en-ciel qui resplendit dans les nuées en un jour de pluie. C’est ainsi que m’apparut ce qui ressemblait à la gloire de l’Eternel. A cette vue, je tombai la face contre terre, et j’entendis quelqu’un me parler.
