Ezekiel 1:12-20

¹²And ^(A)each went straight forward; ^(B)wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go, without turning as they went. ¹³^[a]In the midst of the living beings there was something that looked like burning coals of ^(C)fire, ^[b]like torches moving among the living beings. The fire was bright, and lightning was ^[c]flashing from the fire. ¹⁴And the living beings ^(D)ran back and forth like bolts of ^(E)lightning.

¹⁵Now as I looked at the living beings, behold, there was one ^(F)wheel on the ground beside the living beings, for ^[d]each of the four of them. ¹⁶The ^(G)appearance of the wheels and their workmanship was like ^[e]sparkling ^(H)topaz, and all four of them had the same form, their appearance and workmanship being as if ^[f]one wheel were within another. ¹⁷Whenever they ^[g]moved, they ^[h]moved in any of their four ^[i]directions without ^(I)turning as they ^[j]moved. ¹⁸As for their rims, they were high and awesome, and the rims of all four of them were ^[k]^(J)covered with eyes all around. ¹⁹^(K)Whenever the living beings ^[l]moved, the wheels ^[m]moved with them. And whenever the living beings ^(L)rose from the earth, the wheels rose also. ²⁰^(M)Wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go in that direction^[n]. And the wheels rose just as they did; for the spirit of the living ^[o]beings was in the wheels.
