Ezekiel 8:16-18
Legacy Standard Bible
16 Then He brought me into the inner court of the house of Yahweh. And behold, at the entrance to the temple of Yahweh, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their (A)backs to the temple of Yahweh and their faces toward the east; and (B)they were [a]prostrating themselves eastward toward the sun. 17 He said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? Is it too light a thing for the house of Judah to do the abominations which they have done here, that they have (C)filled the land with violence and (D)provoked Me to anger still more? For behold, they are sending forth the twig to their nose. 18 Therefore, I also will do this in wrath: My eye will have no pity, nor will I spare; and (E)they will cry in My ears with a loud voice, yet I will not listen to them.”

16 And he brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord; there, at the entrance of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs to the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east, prostrating themselves to the sun toward the east.(A) 17 Then he said to me, “Have you seen this, O mortal? Is it not bad enough that the house of Judah commits the abominations done here? Must they fill the land with violence and provoke my anger still further? See, they are putting the branch to their nose!(B) 18 Therefore I will act in wrath; my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity, and though they cry in my hearing with a loud voice, I will not listen to them.”(C)

17 He said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a trivial matter for the people of Judah to do the detestable things(E) they are doing here? Must they also fill the land with violence(F) and continually arouse my anger?(G) Look at them putting the branch to their nose! 18 Therefore I will deal with them in anger;(H) I will not look on them with pity(I) or spare them. Although they shout in my ears, I will not listen(J) to them.”
