“This is what the Lord [a]God says: ‘A (A)disaster, a unique disaster, behold, it is coming! An end [b]is coming; the end has come! It has (B)awakened against you; behold, it has come! Your [c]doom has come to you, you inhabitant of the land. The (C)time has come, the (D)day is near—panic rather than joyful shouting on the mountains. Now I will shortly (E)pour out My wrath on you and expend My anger against you; I will (F)judge you according to your ways and [d]bring on you all your abominations. My eye will have no pity nor will I spare you. I will [e]repay you according to your ways, while your abominations are in your midst; then you will know that I, the Lord, am striking.

  1. Ezekiel 7:5 Most Hebrew manuscripts; some Hebrew manuscripts and Syriac Disaster after

Thus saith the Lord God; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.

An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.

The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.

Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.

And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the Lord that smiteth.

10 Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.
