15 The man measured the length of the building facing the ·private area [courtyard] ·on the west side [or at the rear], and it was ·one hundred seventy-five feet [L one hundred cubits] ·from one wall to the other [or with its galleries on each side].

The ·Holy Place, the Most Holy Place [or interior of the outer sanctuary/main hall], and the outer porch 16 had wood panels on the walls. By the ·doorway [thresholds], the Temple had wood panels on the walls. The wood covered all the walls from the floor up to the windows, 17 up to the part of the wall above the entrance.

All the walls inside the ·Most Holy Place and the Holy Place [inner and outer sanctuary], and on the outside, in the ·porch [portico], 18 had carvings of ·creatures with wings [L cherubim] and palm trees. A palm tree was between each ·carved creature [L cherub], and every ·creature [L cherub] had two faces. 19 One was a human face looking toward the palm tree on one side. The other was a lion’s face looking toward the palm tree on the other side. They were carved all around the Temple walls. 20 From the floor to above the entrance, palm trees and ·creatures with wings [L cherubim] were carved. The walls of the Holy Place 21 had square doorposts. In front of the ·Most Holy Place [sanctuary] was something that looked like 22 an altar of wood. It was more than ·five feet [L three cubits] high and ·three feet [L two cubits] wide. Its corners, base, and sides were wood. The man said to me, “This is the table that is ·in the presence of [before] the Lord.” 23 Both the ·Holy Place [main hall; outer sanctuary] and the ·Most Holy Place [inner sanctuary] had double doors. 24 Each of the doors had two ·pieces [leaves] that would swing open. Two for one and two for the other. 25 Carved on the doors of the ·Holy Place [main hall; outer sanctuary] were palm trees and ·creatures with wings [L cherubim], like those carved on the walls. And there was a wood ·roof [canopy] over the front Temple ·porch [portico]. 26 There were narrow windows and palm trees on both side walls of the ·porch [portico]. The side rooms of the Temple were also covered by a ·roof [canopy] over the stairway.

15 And he measured the length of the (A)building [a]along the front of the (B)separate area behind it, with a [b](C)gallery on each side, a hundred cubits; he also measured the inner sanctuary and the porches of the courtyard. 16 The (D)thresholds, the [c](E)latticed windows, and the [d](F)galleries all around their (G)three stories, opposite the threshold, were (H)paneled with wood all around, and from the ground to the windows (but the windows were covered), 17 over the entrance, and to the inner house, and on the outside, and on all the wall all around inside and outside, by measurement. 18 It was [e]carved with (I)cherubim and (J)palm trees; and a palm tree was between cherub and cherub, and every cherub had two faces: 19 a (K)human face toward the palm tree on one side and a young (L)lion’s face toward the palm tree on the other side; they were [f]carved on all the house all around. 20 From the ground to above the entrance (M)cherubim and (N)palm trees were [g]carved, as well as on the wall of the sanctuary.

21 The (O)doorposts of the (P)sanctuary were square; as for the front of the inner [h]sanctuary, the appearance of one doorpost was like that of the other. 22 The (Q)altar was of wood, three cubits high, and its length two cubits; its corners, its [i]base, and its [j]sides were of wood. And he said to me, “This is the (R)table that is before the Lord.” 23 The (S)sanctuary and the inner [k](T)sanctuary each had a double (U)door. 24 Each of the doors had two leaves, two [l](V)swinging leaves; two leaves for one door and two leaves for the other. 25 Also there were [m]carved on them, on the doors of the main room, (W)cherubim and (X)palm trees like those [n]carved on the walls; and there was a [o](Y)threshold of wood on the front of the porch outside. 26 And there were [p](Z)latticed windows and (AA)palm trees on one side and on the other, on the sides of the (AB)porch; the same were on the (AC)side chambers of the house and the [q]thresholds.

15 Then he measured the length of the building facing the courtyard at the rear of the temple, including its galleries(A) on each side; it was a hundred cubits.

The main hall, the inner sanctuary and the portico facing the court, 16 as well as the thresholds and the narrow windows(B) and galleries around the three of them—everything beyond and including the threshold was covered with wood. The floor, the wall up to the windows, and the windows were covered.(C) 17 In the space above the outside of the entrance to the inner sanctuary and on the walls at regular intervals all around the inner and outer sanctuary 18 were carved(D) cherubim(E) and palm trees.(F) Palm trees alternated with cherubim. Each cherub had two faces:(G) 19 the face of a human being toward the palm tree on one side and the face of a lion toward the palm tree on the other. They were carved all around the whole temple.(H) 20 From the floor to the area above the entrance, cherubim and palm trees were carved on the wall of the main hall.

21 The main hall(I) had a rectangular doorframe, and the one at the front of the Most Holy Place was similar. 22 There was a wooden altar(J) three cubits[a] high and two cubits square[b]; its corners, its base[c] and its sides were of wood. The man said to me, “This is the table(K) that is before the Lord.” 23 Both the main hall(L) and the Most Holy Place had double doors.(M) 24 Each door had two leaves—two hinged leaves(N) for each door. 25 And on the doors of the main hall were carved cherubim and palm trees like those carved on the walls, and there was a wooden overhang on the front of the portico. 26 On the sidewalls of the portico were narrow windows with palm trees carved on each side. The side rooms of the temple also had overhangs.(O)
