24 Then he led me toward the south, and there was a gate on the south, and he measured its posts and its vestibule; they had the same dimensions as the others.(A) 25 There were windows all around in it and in its vestibule, like the windows of the others; its depth was fifty cubits and its width twenty-five cubits.(B) 26 There were seven steps leading up to it; its vestibule was on the inside.[a] It had palm trees on its posts, one on either side.(C) 27 There was a gate on the south of the inner court, and he measured from gate to gate toward the south, one hundred cubits.(D)

He measured its arches and porch using the same measurements. 25 Its windows and its porch all around were like the others, and the gate also was seventy-five feet long and thirty-seven and a half feet wide. 26 Its stairway had seven steps, and its porch was at the other end. On its arches, one on either side, were palm decorations. 27 There was a gate to the inner courtyard on the south. When he measured from gate to gate on the south side, it was one hundred fifty feet.

The South Gate

24 Then he led me to the south side and I saw the south gate. He measured its jambs and its portico, and they had the same measurements(A) as the others. 25 The gateway and its portico had narrow openings all around, like the openings of the others. It was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.(B) 26 Seven steps led up to it, with its portico opposite them; it had palm tree decorations on the faces of the projecting walls on each side.(C) 27 The inner court(D) also had a gate facing south, and he measured from this gate to the outer gate on the south side; it was a hundred cubits.(E)
