17 Then he brought me into the outer court; there were chambers there and a pavement all around the court; thirty chambers fronted on the pavement.(A) 18 The pavement ran along the side of the gates, corresponding to the length of the gates; this was the lower pavement. 19 Then he measured the distance from the inner front of[a] the lower gate to the outer front of the inner court, one hundred cubits.[b](B)

17 Next, he brought me into the outer court, where chambers and a paved area had been constructed all around the courtyard, with 30 chambers facing the pavement. 18 The pavement to the side[a] of the gates corresponded to the length of the gates. 19 He also measured the width from the front lower gate to the front of the exterior inner court at 100 cubits[b] to the east and to the north.

17 Then he brought me into the outer court.(A) There I saw some rooms and a pavement that had been constructed all around the court; there were thirty rooms(B) along the pavement.(C) 18 It abutted the sides of the gateways and was as wide as they were long; this was the lower pavement. 19 Then he measured the distance from the inside of the lower gateway to the outside of the inner court;(D) it was a hundred cubits[a](E) on the east side as well as on the north.
