¹⁶ Moreover, He said to me, “Son of man, behold, I am going to ^(A)break the staff of bread in Jerusalem, and they will eat bread by ^(B)weight and with anxiety, and they will drink water by ^(C)measure and in desolation ¹⁷ because bread and water will be lacking; and they will be in desolation with one another and ^(D)rot away in their iniquity.

⁶ You have ^(A)sown much, but bring in little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is ^[a]not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; and he who earns, earns wages to put into a bag with holes.”
