14 This is what the Lord God says: All the earth will ·be happy [rejoice] when I make you an ·empty ruin [desolation]. 15 You ·were happy [rejoiced] when the ·land [L inheritance of the house] of Israel was ·ruined [desolated], but I will do the same thing to you. Mount Seir and all Edom, you will become an ·empty ruin [desolation]. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’

14 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: While the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.(A) 15 Because you rejoiced(B) when the inheritance of Israel became desolate, that is how I will treat you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir,(C) you and all of Edom.(D) Then they will know that I am the Lord.’”
