Ezekiel 34:15-28

15 I myself[a] will feed my flock and I myself[b] will allow them to lie down,” declares[c] the Lord Yahweh. 16 “I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the scattered, and I will bind up the one hurt, and I will strengthen the sick; and the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed her with justice.”

17 “‘And you, my flock, thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Look! I am judging between one sheep and another,[d] between the rams and between the he-goats. 18 Is it not enough for you[e] that you feed on the good pasture? And still you must trample the remainder of your pasture with your feet, and clear water[f] you drink, and the leftover water[g] you must make muddy with your feet. 19 And my flock must graze the pasture treaded upon by[h] your feet, and must drink the mud puddle stirred up by[i] your feet.”

20 “‘Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh to them: “Look! I, even I will judge between fat sheep and between lean sheep, 21 because with your flank and with your shoulder you shoved, and with your horns you pushed all of the sick animals until[j] you scattered it[k] to the outside. 22 And so I will save my flock, and they will no longer be[l] for plunder, and I will judge between one sheep and another.[m] 23 And I will set up over them one shepherd, and he will feed them; that is, my servant David. He will feed them, and he will be for them as[n] a shepherd. 24 And I, Yahweh, I will be for them as God,[o] and my servant David will be a leader in the midst of them. I, Yahweh, I have spoken. 25 And I will make them a covenant of peace, and I will put an end to wild animals[p] from the land, and they will dwell in the desert safely,[q] and they will sleep in the forest. 26 And I will make them and the area all around my hill a blessing, and I will let the rain go down at its appointed time;[r] they will be rains of blessing. 27 And the tree[s] of the field will give its fruit, and the land will give its produce, and they will be on their land safely,[t] and they will know that I am Yahweh when I break their yoke, and I will deliver them from the hand of the ones enslaving them. 28 And they will not be any longer plunder to the nations, and the animals of the land will not eat them, and they will dwell in safety,[u] and there will not be anyone frightening them.

Ezekiel 34:15-28
New International Version

15 I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down,(A) declares the Sovereign Lord.(B) 16 I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up(C) the injured and strengthen the weak,(D) but the sleek and the strong I will destroy.(E) I will shepherd the flock with justice.(F)

17 “‘As for you, my flock, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will judge between one sheep and another, and between rams and goats.(G) 18 Is it not enough(H) for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also trample the rest of your pasture with your feet?(I) Is it not enough for you to drink clear water? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet? 19 Must my flock feed on what you have trampled and drink what you have muddied with your feet?

20 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says to them: See, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.(J) 21 Because you shove with flank and shoulder, butting all the weak sheep with your horns(K) until you have driven them away, 22 I will save my flock, and they will no longer be plundered. I will judge between one sheep and another.(L) 23 I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend(M) them; he will tend them and be their shepherd.(N) 24 I the Lord will be their God,(O) and my servant David(P) will be prince among them.(Q) I the Lord have spoken.(R)

25 “‘I will make a covenant(S) of peace(T) with them and rid the land of savage beasts(U) so that they may live in the wilderness and sleep in the forests in safety.(V) 26 I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing.[a](W) I will send down showers in season;(X) there will be showers of blessing.(Y) 27 The trees will yield their fruit(Z) and the ground will yield its crops;(AA) the people will be secure(AB) in their land. They will know that I am the Lord, when I break the bars of their yoke(AC) and rescue them from the hands of those who enslaved them.(AD) 28 They will no longer be plundered by the nations, nor will wild animals devour them. They will live in safety,(AE) and no one will make them afraid.(AF)
