Ezekiel 28:24-26

²⁴“And for the house of Israel ^(A)there shall be no more a brier to prick or ^(B)a thorn to hurt them among all their neighbors ^(C)who have treated them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the Lord God.

Israel Gathered in Security

²⁵“Thus says the Lord God: ^(D)When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and ^(E)manifest my holiness in them in the sight of the nations, ^(F)then they shall dwell in their own land that I gave to my servant Jacob. ²⁶^(G)And they shall dwell securely in it, and they shall build houses and plant vineyards. They shall dwell securely, ^(H)when I execute judgments upon all their neighbors ^(I)who have treated them with contempt. ^(J)Then they will know that I am the Lord their God.”

²⁴No longer will Israel’s scornful neighbors
prick and tear at her like briers and thorns.
For then they will know
that I am the Sovereign Lord.

Restoration for Israel

²⁵“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: The people of Israel will again live in their own land, the land I gave my servant Jacob. For I will gather them from the distant lands where I have scattered them. I will reveal to the nations of the world my holiness among my people. ²⁶They will live safely in Israel and build homes and plant vineyards. And when I punish the neighboring nations that treated them with contempt, they will know that I am the Lord their God.”

²⁴“‘No longer will the people of Israel have malicious neighbors who are painful briers and sharp thorns.^(A) Then they will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.

²⁵“‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: When I gather^(B) the people of Israel from the nations where they have been scattered,^(C) I will be proved holy^(D) through them in the sight of the nations. Then they will live in their own land, which I gave to my servant Jacob.^(E) ²⁶They will live there in safety^(F) and will build houses and plant^(G) vineyards; they will live in safety when I inflict punishment^(H) on all their neighbors who maligned them. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God.^(I)’”
