therefore thus says the Lord God: (A)Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and will bring up (B)many nations against you, (C)as the sea brings up its waves. They shall destroy the walls of Tyre and break down her towers, and I will scrape her soil from her and (D)make her a bare rock. She (E)shall be in the midst of the sea a place for the spreading of nets, (F)for I have spoken, declares the Lord God. And she shall become plunder for the nations, and her daughters on the mainland shall be killed by the sword. (G)Then they will know that I am the Lord.

therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Tyre, and I will bring many nations against you, like the sea(A) casting up its waves. They will destroy(B) the walls of Tyre(C) and pull down her towers; I will scrape away her rubble and make her a bare rock. Out in the sea(D) she will become a place to spread fishnets,(E) for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord. She will become plunder(F) for the nations,(G) and her settlements on the mainland will be ravaged by the sword. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
